1.Apple’s Vision Pro Faces Uncertain Future Amid Headset Development Pause
It sounds like Apple might be hitting the brakes on new Vision Pro headsets. The current focus seems to be on getting smart glasses out there.
When the Vision Pro came out in 2023, Apple acted like it would be the next iPhone. But with a $3,499 price, a kinda strange look, and a brand new system, not everyone loved it. Even Apple seems surprised about the hype disappeared so fast. There's talk that the headset's long-term plans aren't looking great.
What Apple Was Planning
After the Vision Pro release, the word was that Apple was moving to the Vision Air. The aim was to get spatial computing to more people with a headset that was lighter, smaller, and way cheaper. They wanted to cut the weight by 40% and the price by 50% so normal people would be into mixed reality. The Vision Air would've had cheaper screens and simpler lenses. They would cut some of the less important things to make it comfy.
On the higher end, Apple was said to be making a Vision Pro 2, planning for 2028. This top model would've been lighter, more comfy, with better screens, longer battery life, and a lower price. The Air and Pro models would've been like the iPhone, iPad, MacBook, and AirPods lines.
Plans Change
Around mid-2024, the Vision Pro's path changed, and they changed the product plans. A report from The Information said Apple stopped working on the Vision Pro 2. Instead, those people went to the cheaper Vision Air, hoping to release it sooner. Apparently, Apple realized that the Pro's high price, size, discomfort, and limited uses made it hard to sell, even for people who buy new things first.
When they started, Apple wanted to release it by the end of 2024, but they still didn't have a good version halfway through the year. It seems like they were having trouble finding ways to cut costs without removing too many things, so the release date was pushed to the end of 2025.
By October, leaks said that Apple was slowing down the original Vision Pro because sales were down and there were too many parts left over. The first Vision Pro production supposedly ended at the end of the year.
Headset Stopped
This month, a report from Bloomberg said Apple has also stopped working on the cheaper headset, the Vision Air. From what I heard, Apple’s trying to speed up the smart glasses to better compete with Meta. If this is true, then the Vision Air and the changed Vision Pro are on hold, and there's nothing else about headsets being worked on right now. The company probably won't stop doing spatial computing, but their next move will probably be different from the headset launched in 2024.
The M5 Vision Pro
Apple's about to release its M5 chips, but the current Vision Pro uses an M2 chip from 2022. Apple has decided to just add the M5 chip, maybe a second-gen R2 coprocessor chip, and a new Dual Knit headband. That would keep the current device fresh for a few more years while using up leftover parts from the first model. This upgraded device is expected to release in the next few weeks; it may even be heard through FCC soon.
What's Next?
The M5 Vision Pro should be a good upgrade for people who already own one or those who haven't tried it, but it probably won't be a big hit. This device will keep the headset line going for a little bit, but it'll get old if Apple doesn't offer anything new. Apple is expected to release its first smart glasses as soon as next year, and they might start working on the Vision Air and Vision Pro 2 again once the glasses are selling well. Still, the headset line will likely be in a bad spot around 2027 or 2028, with old stuff and nothing new planned.
Right now, visionOS 26 and the upcoming M5 show that Apple’s still interested in mixed reality headsets. But what happens to the product line later, with this move to smart glasses and AI, is hard to know. Apple released new software for the AirPods Pro 3, older AirPods Pro 2, and the AirPods 4 models. The software's build number is 8A358, which is up from 8A356. There's no word about what's included, but the last update added iOS 26 features to the AirPods Pro 2, AirPods Pro 3, and AirPods 4 with ANC. The software made better audio quality ...TAG Heuer announced the Connected Calibre E5 smartwatch, now with Made for iPhone working since they aren't using Google anymore. Three years after launching the Calibre E4, the Connected Calibre E5 comes in two sizes: 45mm and a new 40mm. They have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 5100+. The 45mm model has a 1.39-inch screen, while ...Apple has added a ring to its store iPhones after reports of marks appearing, Consomac says. This comes after Apple said that store iPhones scratched the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max.
2.iPhone Air vs Galaxy S25 Edge: The Ultimate Battery Life Showdown
## iPhone Air vs Galaxy S25 Edge: Real-World Battery Test
When Apple first showed off the iPhone Air, everyone wondered: Is it as tough as it looks? Can such a thin phone really last all day on a single charge? At just 5.65 mm, it's Apple’s thinnest phone ever, which got people wondering about its durability and battery life.
Now that the phone's been out for a while, we're getting some answers – and they're a bit surprising. Tests show the iPhone Air's glass can crack if dropped. That being said, Apple did a good job building it: even though it's super slim, it doesn't bend easily, which is much better than older iPhones.
Even with the durability questions, people are still curious about the battery. The iPhone Air has a 3,149 mAh battery, which isn't huge. It's smaller than the batteries in the iPhone 17, 17 Pro, and 17 Pro Max, which have more room for bigger batteries and better cooling. It's not really a fair comparison – but some reviews compared the Air to Apple's top-tier phones, which lasted longer, of course.
But that's missing the point. The iPhone Air is different: a super-thin, light phone that focuses on looks, feel, and portability, instead of just trying to last as long as possible. So, to really see how good the battery is, we need to compare it to a similar phone.
That's where the YouTube channel PhoneBuff comes in. They're known for their controlled battery tests. They recently tested the iPhone Air and the Galaxy S25 Edge to give us the comparison we've been waiting for.
The Galaxy S25 Edge is Samsung’s super-slim phone, a bit thicker than the iPhone Air at 5.8 mm. It has a bigger 3,900 mAh battery – about 24% bigger than the iPhone Air's. It also has a slightly bigger 6.7-inch screen compared to the Air's 6.5-inch screen, which means Samsung had more room inside. That extra space allowed them to add stereo speakers and a second back camera, which the iPhone Air skips to stay slim.
In PhoneBuff's test, both phones did the same things: calls, texts, browsing, social media, video playback, and some standby time. This way, they could see how long the batteries lasted in real-world use.
The results? The Galaxy S25 Edge lasted longer, which makes sense since it has a bigger battery. But the iPhone Air did better than expected. Despite having a smaller battery, Apple's setup – with the A18 chip and iOS power management – kept it running for most of the test. The iPhone Air didn't die too long after the Galaxy S25 Edge, which is good for such a small phone.
This means the iPhone Air can easily get you through a full day with normal use – which many people didn't think was possible for a phone this thin. Apple's combination of a power-saving chip, a screen that adjusts its refresh rate, and smart background management helps the phone use power efficiently.
If you want the best battery life and more features like a better camera and louder speakers, the Galaxy S25 Edge is still the better choice. But the iPhone Air proves that you don't have to sacrifice battery life for a super-thin phone.
In the end, the PhoneBuff test showed how good phones have gotten. The fact that a 5.65 mm iPhone can almost keep up with a phone that has a much bigger battery shows how well Apple combines its hardware and software. If you want the thinnest phone possible and don't want it dying before the day is over, the iPhone Air is a surprisingly good option.
3.Battery Showdown: Which of the Six Flagships Lasts the Longest?
I watched a cool video from TechDroider on YouTube where they did a battery test on a bunch of flagship phones. The main point was to find out which phone could last the longest on a single charge. They included some of the biggest names out there: the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max, iPhone 17 Pro Max, Google Pixel 10 Pro XL, Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, and OnePlus 13. They even threw in the older Xiaomi 15 Pro to have something to compare them against.
TechDroider's test seemed pretty normal. They did what most people do with their phones every day, like looking at websites, watching videos, playing games, and taking pictures. They kept track of how long each phone lasted while doing these things and how hot each phone got.
What I thought was really interesting was that even though the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max has a huge battery, it barely beat the iPhone. I'm guessing Apple has figured out something smart with their hardware and software working together, because the iPhone's smaller battery was super efficient. So it looks like how well a phone's parts work together makes a big difference in how long the battery lasts.
Here’s a breakdown of the results from TechDroider’s test:
| Model | Battery Life | Temperature (°C) |
| ---------------------- | ------------ | ---------------- |
| Xiaomi 17 Pro Max | 13h 36m | 47.6 |
| iPhone 17 Pro Max | 13h 31m | 43.1 |
| Xiaomi 15 Pro | 12h 31m | 47.4 |
| OnePlus 13 | 11h 56m | 43.5 |
| Google Pixel 10 Pro XL | 11h 28m | 42.6 |
| Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra| 11h 20m | 45.0 |
The Xiaomi 17 Pro Max, which has a massive 7500 mAh battery, came in first place, However, But it only lasted five minutes longer than the iPhone 17 Pro Max. The iPhone, with its smaller 4823 mAh battery, was right behind it. The Xiaomi needed a much bigger battery to barely win. On the other hand, the Galaxy S25 Ultra, which has a 5000 mAh battery, didn't do so great in the test. The Pixel 10 Pro XL was okay, but it didn't last as long as the others.
Another thing I noticed was how hot the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max got. It reached 47.6°C, which is pretty warm. I wonder if pushing that big battery so hard is what caused it to heat up. They even stopped the test for a bit to let it cool down! The iPhone 17 Pro Max stayed much cooler, only getting to 43.1°C. I'm not sure if it's because of their new cooler, but it seemed to handle the heat better. The older Xiaomi 15 Pro had a more normal temperature. Both the OnePlus 13 and Pixel 10 Pro XL had good battery life and stayed at a reasonable temperature. The Galaxy S25 Ultra didn't do as well, with the shortest battery life and a temperature of 45°C.
So, what does this all tell you if you’re thinking of getting a new phone? It shows that a big battery isn't the only thing that matters. What’s going on inside the phone is really important, too. The chip inside the phone plays a big role (the Xiaomi uses a Snapdragon 8 Elite, and the iPhone uses its A19 Pro). The way the software and hardware work together also makes a difference.
It’s worth mentioning that TechDroider said their test wasn’t perfect. Apps running in the background could have changed the results a little. If you just want the phone that will last the longest, the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max is the winner based on this test. Though, if you don’t mind a little less battery life, the iPhone 17 Pro Max seems like a really good choice. It still has great battery life but doesn’t get as hot. It looks like the Pixel phones tend to stay cool, but they might not last as long. If you don’t need a phone right away, it might be a good idea to wait to see more tests and when you can purchase the Xiaomi where you live.
The main thing I took away from the TechDroider video is that, regardless of the fact that the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max (13 hours and 36 minutes at 47.6°C) beat the iPhone 17 Pro Max (13 hours and 31 minutes at 43.1°C), the difference was only like five minutes! The Galaxy S25 Ultra had the worst battery life at 11 hours and 20 minutes, with the Xiaomi 15 Pro (12 hours and 31 minutes) coming in third, and the OnePlus 13 (11 hours and 56 minutes) fourth. On the upside, the Pixel 10 Pro XL stayed cooler. I think these tests can kinda show that while you might be getting a phone based on some sort of spec, the internal software also seems important. If you don't need the absolute best top-of-the-line performance for a phone, there may still be other choices out there! These tests seem to show that bigger batteries don't always mean better.
4.Apple Ends Support for Its Once-Popular Clips App
Apple is pulling the plug on Clips after seven years.
Apple has quietly stopped supporting Clips, their short video app that aimed to give iPhone and iPad users simple, social media-style editing. The app has disappeared from the App Store, and Apple says they won’t be updating it anymore.
If you didn't already have Clips, you won’t be able to download it after October 10th, 2025. If you’ve used it before, you can still get it from your App Store history, and it will keep working on your devices for now. But since it's not supported, Apple says Clips might not work with future iOS and iPadOS versions.
Apple is telling people to save their videos—with or without stickers, filters, and effects—to the Photos app. From there, you can still edit or watch them in other Apple or other video apps. It’s a quiet end for an app that was once Apple’s attempt at easy-to-use creative tools.
A Good Start in 2017
Clips came out in April 2017 as Apple’s take on Snapchat and Instagram Stories. But unlike those platforms, Clips wasn't about sharing or followers. Instead, it let people make short videos with filters, emojis, animated captions, and music — all for quick, fun stories.
Back then, Apple said Clips was a way for anyone to make short, cool videos without needing fancy editing software like iMovie or Final Cut Pro. The app had “Live Titles,” a smart voice-to-text caption, and direct sharing to iMessage and social media.
Some critics and users thought it was too basic. TechCrunch’s Brian Heater said in 2017 that it was “a little too simple for what it could be,” saying Apple could have used it to show off new camera and AR. But he also said it had potential as a fun alternative to social media — a private place to create and share without worrying about likes or followers.
Fewer Updates Over Time
Over the years, Apple added some new things to Clips, like AR, Memoji, and scene backgrounds. But updates slowed down a lot. By 2023, they were mostly just fixing problems, which meant the app’s best days were over.
Sites like MacRumors noted that the last update was in 2021. After that, the app wasn’t as important because there were new AI video tools for creators. Platforms like TikTok, CapCut, and Runway got popular by offering social sharing and advanced editing that Clips couldn’t do.
Fans Don’t Mind, AI Takes Over
Apple fans haven’t really reacted much. On Reddit, many people said they hadn’t used Clips in years — or never even knew about it. “It was fun for about five minutes,” one person wrote. Another said, “We have CapCut, Sora, and Reels now. Clips feels old.”
The mention of Sora, OpenAI’s video app, shows how short video creation has changed. Sora had over a million downloads in its first week, which shows how AI has replaced manual editing for regular users.
As one tech person said, “Clips was for people who wanted to make fun videos. Now people just tell AI what they want, and it makes it for them.”
The End of Something
Now that Clips is gone, Apple seems focused on main creative software like iMovie, Final Cut Pro, and new iPad tools for pros. Apple hasn’t said it will replace Clips, but it’s adding more camera and editing features to the Photos app — maybe putting some of Clips’ ideas right into the system.
Even though Clips wasn’t a big hit, it shows a time when Apple was willing to try out fun, separate apps. For a company known for being careful, Clips showed a fun side — where having fun was as important as getting things done.

5.Apple is winding down Clips, its forgotten video-editing app
Apple Shuts Down Clips App: Goodbye to Its Social Video Editor
Apple is ending its Clips app, which is like saying goodbye to a seven-year experiment with social video editing. They quietly updated their help page to say they stopped working on the app, and new users can’t find it in the App Store anymore. If you already use Clips on your iPhone or iPad, you can still use it for now, but Apple isn't saying how long that will last.
The support page says if you got Clips before, you can download it again from your Apple account. But it’s pretty clear the app is on its way out.
Clips came out in 2017. It was Apple’s attempt to get in on the short video craze for social media. It had tools that made making videos quick, fun, and easy. You could throw in animated text, stickers, filters, and even live captions that used your voice. Plus, it worked with other Apple stuff, so you could share videos through Messages or save them to your photos.
Even though it started strong, Clips didn’t really take off. People said it was easy to use and looked good, but it couldn’t beat out the competition like Instagram, TikTok, and Snapchat. Those apps kept adding similar or better features. Clips became just another app instead of a big hit.
Apple's choice to close Clips shows a change in what they're doing. Instead of having separate apps for everything, they're putting features right into their main stuff. Things that Clips could do, like video filters, text, and quick sharing, are now in the iPhone Photos app and other standard tools.
If you still use Clips, Apple says to back up your videos. They suggest saving them to your photo library or somewhere else, which means it might not be around forever. If you made cool stuff or saved memories with Clips, you should probably do this.
Clips going away shows how fast tech changes. Apps that seem cool can become old news in just a few years, especially with social media and video creation. This move from Apple shows it's important to keep up with the times, whether you're a user or a developer.
What’s interesting is that Apple isn’t saying Clips was a failure. They’re acting like it was just a limited-time thing that ran its course. They haven't said if they'll replace Clips or if they have a new video-editing idea. For now, if you want something similar, you’ll have to use other apps or the tools that come with your iPhone and iPad.
As Apple makes its system better, Clips disappearing is more like cleaning up than losing something important. By making things simpler and focusing on the main stuff, they probably want to make people happier with their products.
But if you liked how simple and fun Clips was, it’s kind of the end of an era. Whether you made funny birthday messages, quick travel videos, or just played with the filters, Clips made it fun to make videos. For a while, it felt like it was the future of making stuff on your phone.
Now, that future is in other apps. But we’ll remember Clips as Apple’s real effort to make video editing fun for everyone, even if it didn’t last very long.
6.Square Enix Teases New Dissidia Final Fantasy Game for iOS and Android, Reveal Set for October 14
Square Enix is about to drop a new Dissidia Final Fantasy game, and it's coming to your phone! Mark your calendars for October 14 at 3:00 a.m. PT. / 6:00 a.m. ET. / 19:00 JST. You can catch the Team Boss Battle trailer on YouTube in English and Japanese.
This is the first new Dissidia game for phones since they shut down Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia back in February 2024. That game was around for a while and had a lot of fans, so its ending left a hole that Square Enix looks ready to fill.
They haven't said much about the gameplay yet, but there's a teaser website up in English and Japanese. It seems to have cool character art and an arena setting. So, it looks like it might be a team-based fighting game where you work together.
Early buzz says it'll be a team boss battle arena style of game, mixing in some real-time strategy, action RPG stuff, and co-op play. This would be a change from the one-on-one fights in Dissidia Final Fantasy NT (the last console game), which got mixed reviews. A lot of fans have been wanting a game like the older PSP ones with a good story. Hopefully, this new mobile game will be it.
The hype is already building! The social media accounts (@DDFF_EN and @DDFF_JP) are posting countdowns and hints, getting people to guess which characters will show up and what the gameplay will be like. The series usually has characters from all over the Final Fantasy world, so expect to see favorites like Cloud, Squall, Lightning, and Noctis.
Square Enix is putting this on phones because mobile gaming is a big deal. Games like Final Fantasy Brave Exvius and War of the Visions have been doing well, so they're clearly trying to give players a good experience on the go, while keeping the quality high.
If you're a long-time Dissidia fan, this is a comeback. The series is known for its fast action, character moments, and lore. If Square Enix can make that work on mobile, with some new ideas and a fun multiplayer mode, this could be big.
Keep an eye on the teaser site and the social media pages as we get closer to October 14. This might be one of the biggest mobile RPG announcements of the year. Whether you loved the PSP games or just like the idea of team-based boss battles, the next Dissidia Final Fantasy is almost here.
7.Microsoft’s Latest Windows 10 Update: Why Timing Matters More Than Ever
Heads up, Windows 10 users! Microsoft is ending support for Windows 10, so here's what that means for you.
After October 14, 2025, Windows 10 won't get security updates anymore. This could leave your computer open to viruses and online threats. It's a big deal since tons of people still use Windows 10.
Windows is still the most used operating system worldwide, with over 1.4 billion devices running on it . About 43% of them were still on Windows 10 as of July 2025, according to Statcounter. In the UK, Which? says about 21 million people still use Windows 10. They found that about 25% plan to keep using it even without support, but about 14% are thinking about getting a new computer.
Without updates, your system is open to attacks. Cybersecurity experts and consumer advocates are worried. Nathan Proctor from U.S. PIRG says it's bad for customers and the planet. He's not happy about devices and software that become useless so fast.
Microsoft wants people to switch to Windows 11, which is a update if your computer can handle it. But not all computers can, so some people might need to buy a new one even if their current one works fine. Some say this pushes people to spend money they don't need to and makes electronic waste.
If you can't upgrade right away, Microsoft has Extended Security Updates (ESU). This gives you security patches for Windows 10 until October 2026. But it doesn't include tech support or new features. You can get ESU if you are running the latest version of Windows 10, have a Microsoft account, and back up your PC settings. Otherwise, it costs $30 or 1,000 Microsoft Rewards points. Businesses will pay $61 per device, which is higher.
Since 2015, Windows 10 has had updates with new stuff and security fixes. People liked it, especially after Windows 8 wasn't so popular. Windows 11 is a fresh start for Microsoft, but it could be difficult. People might not like that Windows 11 increasingly makes you log in with a Microsoft account for privacy reasons. Also, you need an account to get ESU, which could be a problem for some.
It's risky to stay on Windows 10 without updates because your system is more likely to get hacked. Companies using unsupported software may have difficulty staying compliant with regulations, according to Microsoft’s Consumer Chief Marketing Officer Yusuf Mehdi.
Also, some software companies might stop supporting Windows 10, so some programs might not work as well. This could be a problem if you need those programs for work or personal use.
Basically, the end of Windows 10 support is a big deal. You need to either upgrade to Windows 11 or get ESU to keep your computer safe. People are talking more about tech sustainability, repair options, and long-term support.
8.Windows 11 Upgrade Guide: 3 Free Options and 1 Workaround for Unsupported Devices
**How to Upgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 11: A No-Stress Guide**
Microsoft is stopping support for Windows 10, so lots of folks are thinking about switching to Windows 11. If you don't switch, your computer might stop getting updates. The good news is, if your computer is up to snuff, getting Windows 11 is free and pretty simple. And even if your computer is a bit older, there are still ways to get it working or skip some steps. Here's how to do it.
**Step 1: See If Your Computer Can Handle It**
First, you have to check if your computer is ready for Windows 11. It needs a few things.
* TPM 2.0
* Secure Boot should be turned on in BIOS
* A processor that's supported
The TPM thing can be a problem for older computers. To check, get the PC Health Check tool from Microsoft. Lots of new computers already have it. If you don't, grab it from Microsoft's site. Install it, open it, and click Check now. If you’re good to go, it will let you know.
**Step 2: Check If the Update Is Ready**
If your computer is ready, Windows 11 might be waiting as an update. Here's how to check:
* Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update
* Click Check for updates
* If you see Windows 11, click to install
This is easy, and your stuff stays safe.
**Step 3: Use the Installation Helper**
If you don't see Windows 11 in your updates, you can install it yourself with the Windows 11 Installation Assistant from Microsoft:
* Go to the Download Windows 11 page on Microsoft's website
* Click Download now under Installation Assistant
* Open the file you downloaded
* Click “Accept and install”
Your computer will start downloading and installing Windows 11. You can still use your computer while it’s doing this. Restart your computer when it's done to finish up.
**Step 4: Use the Media Creation Tool**
Another choice is Microsoft’s Media Creation Tool. It helps you burn a Windows 11 setup disk. This is handy if you're upgrading more than one computer or want to start fresh.
* Go to the Download Windows 11 page
* Click Download now under Create Installation Media
* Open the file you downloaded
* Agree to the terms
* Pick your language and the Windows 11 version you want
* Choose either USB flash drive or ISO file
If you pick USB, you need a USB drive with at least 8GB. The tool will copy the Windows files to it. Then, open the drive and click setup.exe to start the upgrade.
If you pick the ISO file, save it, then double-click it in File Explorer. Find setup.exe inside and click it to install.
**Step 5: Set Up Your Installation**
When you install Windows, you’ll see a screen that says Ready to Install. By default, Windows 11 will keep all your files and apps. To change that:
* Click Change
* Pick one:
* Keep personal files and apps
* Keep personal files only
* Nothing (clean install)
Most people keep their stuff, but a fresh install can fix problems or get rid of junk.
Click Next, then Install to begin the upgrade. After your computer restarts, log in and set things up. You might need to change some privacy settings before you see your new desktop.
**Step 6: Just Download the ISO File**
If you just want the file, you can download the Windows 11 ISO from Microsoft:
* Go to the Download Windows 11 page
* Find the Download Windows 11 Disk Image (ISO) part
* Pick Windows 11 from the list
* Pick your language and click Confirm
* Click Download
Once it's downloaded, double-click the ISO file and click setup.exe. Finish the setup like before.
**What If My Computer Is Too Old?**
If your computer doesn't pass the Windows 11 check, Microsoft suggests getting a new one. Some folks have found ways to get around the rules using tools, such as Rufus or Ventoy. These help you make a special disk that skips the checks. These aren't supported, so be careful.
You can also stick with Windows 10 and get security updates by paying for them. This lasts until October 2026 but doesn’t include new features.
**In Short**
Switching to Windows 11 is good for security, but it can be a little tricky. Microsoft gives you different ways to get it, such as updates, helper tools, or downloads. If your stuff is old, there are ways around it and extended support.
Windows 10 won't last forever, so think about what you want to do. Whether you pick Windows 11 or stick with Windows 10 a bit longer, knowing your choices will help.
9.Battlefield 6 Breaks Records on Steam Just One Day After Launch
Battlefield 6 Just Crushed It on Steam, Setting New Records
Battlefield 6 just exploded onto the gaming scene, and it's already smashing records. Within 24 hours of launch, it shot up to become the fourteenth most-played game ever on Steam by player count. We're talking about a crazy 747,440 people playing at the exact same time—and that's just on Steam.
This makes Battlefield 6 the most successful shooter ever for Electronic Arts, beating its own free beta and even top games like Call of Duty. The beta already showed how popular the game would be, with over 520,000 players online and almost 250,000 stuck in queues before the game even came out. According to David Sirland, the lead producer, those beta queues really helped the team get ready for the huge demand on launch day.
Even though the servers were under a lot of stress, people seem to really like the game. Right now, 78% of over 25,000 user reviews on Steam are positive, which means the community is giving it a thumbs up. This is great news for the series, especially after Battlefield 2042 had a rough time with bugs and design problems.
Battlefield 6 is already a cash cow. Experts guess that it made over $100 million in pre-launch sales, with 1.7 million copies pre-ordered on Steam alone. People in the industry think that number will jump even higher, with predictions of five million copies sold in the first week. This could make Battlefield 6 one of the most profitable games in the series.
What’s interesting is that EA’s own game launcher had issues. Reports say that lots of players who bought Battlefield 6 through the EA App couldn't even play the game when it launched. Vince Zampella, the head of Battlefield, even told people to get a refund from EA and just buy the game on Steam, because it was more reliable.
So, why is this game so popular? Well, Battlefield 6 has a fresh multiplayer mode that fans have really wanted. There are new things to do, huge maps, and better combat that feels like the good old days. The single-player story is okay, but the real reason to play is the multiplayer, which has those huge, wild battles that the series is known for.
But, it’s not all perfect. Some critics and longtime fans are worried that Battlefield 6 still doesn’t know exactly what it wants to be. The game is great at action, but people are still wondering what makes Battlefield stand out from other shooters. Reviews suggest that Battlefield 6 is moving in the right direction, but it still has some things to figure out.
Still, the numbers don't lie. With more players online than Apex Legends, Marvel Rivals, and Destiny 2, Battlefield 6 is a huge deal. It’s climbing up the Steam charts fast, and the good feedback from players shows that EA has brought the series back to life.
As the first week goes on, everyone will be watching to see if Battlefield 6 can keep up this success. Will it keep selling like crazy and keep players hooked? Can EA fix the problems with its own launcher? And most important, will the game become something that truly feels like Battlefield?
For now, Battlefield 6 is having its moment—and it's well deserved.
10.Nintendo Reportedly Hit by Cyberattack, Hacker Group Takes Responsibility
There's talk that Nintendo might've been hacked by a group calling themselves Crimson Collective.
A security firm, Hackmanac, says this group posted a screenshot that looks like it came straight from Nintendo's systems – like they nabbed some company secrets. Nintendo hasn't commented yet, but sources say this hack went down around October 11, 2025.
This Crimson Collective group of hackers has been active lately. They went after Red Hat, a software company, and stole a bunch of data from some spots on GitHub. Red Hat said the hack was quick. The hackers wanted cash and threatened to leak data if they didn't get paid. So, if this Nintendo situation is real, they will probably pull the same move.
Gaming companies are big targets for hackers. They have unreleased game stuff and people's personal details. Remember when Insomniac Games had that big leak? Project details and employee info was revealed. The info ended up everywhere online, and it was bad for them.
This possible hack is happening when Nintendo is on top. The Nintendo Switch 2 is selling fast (over 2.4 million in the U.S. in three months). Games like Mario Kart World and Donkey Kong Bananza are hits. If this did happen, it could make the company look bad and scare people about their data safety.
The screenshot from Crimson Collective looks like it's from Nintendo's files, but nothing's out yet. Hackmanac shared the screenshot to warn people about what this group is up to and is aiming for bigger targets.
If Nintendo was hacked, they could have problems. Game info, employee details, and contracts might be at risk. Leaks may mess up deals, delay releases, and cause legal issues if important stuff was taken.
Gamers are nervous but don't know what to think. Some people believe Crimson Collective, but others are waiting for Nintendo to speak first. Nintendo is probably confirming the facts before saying anything.
It’s not clear what Crimson Collective wants, but they seem to be after money and fame. They haven't said why they're doing this. They're just going after big companies and causing issues, like other hacker groups that have hit tech and government groups.
Cybersecurity experts are telling game companies to double-check their security. With more people working from home and using online services, hackers have more ways to get in. So, preparation is key.
Nintendo needs to take care of this fast. Real hack or not, it shows that cybercrime is a real deal for online entertainment, and online safety is necessary these days.
11.Bethesda Teases Mysterious New Game — Fans Think a Classic Series Is Returnin
**Is Wolfenstein Coming Back? MachineGames Might Be Telling Us Something**
Okay, shooter fans, listen up! MachineGames, you know, the people who made those awesome modern Wolfenstein games and the more recent Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, they might be bringing back another classic.
So, they posted a picture on X (Twitter) showing off their games to celebrate their 15th birthday. After Indiana Jones, there's a box with a question mark on it. People think this means Wolfenstein III is really going to happen.
**A History of Kicking Nazi Butt**
MachineGames came out strong back in 2014 with Wolfenstein: The New Order. It was a fresh take on the old game, Mixing crazy shooting with a wild story about the Nazis winning World War II. Then, in 2017, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus came out and the story kept going with B.J. Blazkowicz leading the resistance. Everyone loved the crazy story and all the action. But the story from those first two games wasn't finished, and people wanted to know what would happen.
In 2019, they put out two spin-off games: Wolfenstein: Youngblood and Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot. To be honest, they weren't as good as the main games. A lot of people didn't like Youngblood, with its co-op and new characters, because it wasn't designed well and had extra payments The VR game, Cyberpilot, didn't really make a splash either. Some people got nervous that the series was done for.
**The Indiana Jones Detour**
After the not-so-great response to the 2019 games, MachineGames went to Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, which was kind of like an interactive movie. It wasn't bad in terms of story, but it wasn't a huge success. The Indiana Jones license cost a lot, and that game is for a specific crowd. Because of this, Xbox isn't likely to make another one, especially since Microsoft bought Bethesda after the first game got the go-ahead.
That’s why it feels like Wolfenstein could come back. Bethesda has the full rights to the Wolfenstein series, so they don't have licensing issues, and there are fans ready for the story to continue. MachineGames has also said that Wolfenstein III is something they’re thinking about. It just depends on if and when they decide to make it.
**What Does It All Mean?**
That anniversary picture from MachineGames isn't just for show. It feels like they're hinting at something. The question mark after Indiana Jones, sitting near all the Wolfenstein games, makes it seem like they're going back to what they know. People think the mystery box could be a new game, but most agree it's not likely. Starting something completely new is a gamble, especially when they still have more to do with one of their biggest series.
The timing makes sense with all the stuff going on in the game world right now. Old games are hot, and Wolfenstein's mix of messed-up history, action, and controversial themes fits in well. With all the political and cultural arguments happening now, a game about fighting against dictators could really resonate with gamers.
**So, What's Next?**
If Wolfenstein III is next, expect the same intense, story-driven action that made the first two games so great. The story will most likely pick up where The New Colossus ended, with B.J. Blazkowicz still fighting the Nazi regime and trying to figure out what’s next for his friends. Also, there is room for new stuff with where gaming tech is now since 2017.
MachineGames hasn't said anything, but things are looking good. Their history, the little hint they dropped, and that unfinished story all seem to point to a sequel we've all been waiting for. If you’ve been waiting years to see how Blazkowicz’s story ends, you might finally get your wish.
12.Valve’s ‘Steam Frame’ VR Headset: Everything We Know About the Rumored Device
## Valve's Steam Frame: Is This VR's Next Big Thing?
Hey VR fans! The gaming guys at Valve who gave us Steam and the Valve Index may be about to drop a new VR headset. People have been talking about it for months, but recent clues suggest this thing – maybe called the Steam Frame – could arrive soon.
## What's Next After the Valve Index?
Back in 2019, Valve launched the Valve Index. People liked it because of its clear visuals, great tracking, and those cool finger-tracking controllers. One problem: it needed to be plugged into a PC and use external sensors. VR has improved a lot since then, with wireless headsets like the Meta Quest getting really popular.
Now, Valve might jump back in with a new device that could change PC VR. Its code name is Deckard, and it'll be wireless and work alone. That fixes the main problem people had with the Index. The name Steam Frame makes sense, like Valve is starting over with its VR plans.
## CEO Says It's Real
A lot about the Steam Frame is just talk, but there is proof Valve is testing new VR tech. CEO Gabe Newell said they're working on new headsets and games, which makes the rumors sound real. Valve has also been getting patents for wireless VR stuff, which adds to the hype.
But the best proof comes from the XR Research Institute, a group of analysts in China. They said the Steam Frame is now being mass-produced, and Valve plans to make around 400,000 to 600,000 units each year – a good amount.
## Get Ready to Spend
How much will the Steam Frame cost? Early talk says it'll be around $1,200, which puts it in the high-end range. That's more than the Meta Quest 3 and Quest 3S, which are supposed to be cheap. Valve's price means the Steam Frame is for serious gamers and VR fans who want the best.
That high price might also mean Valve will include some of its games or demos with the headset. They often use big games to show off their hardware – Half-Life: Alyx sold a lot of Index units – so the Steam Frame might have killer software to make it worth the money.
## Who's the Competition?
Valve is being smart with timing. Meta is pushing smart glasses like the Meta Ray-Ban Display, which makes you wonder about the Quest line. Asus is also making a VR headset called the ROG Tarius, but we don't know when it's coming out. With rivals changing plans, Valve could make a big entrance.
It's hard to guess the launch date. People thought the Steam Frame would be shown at Meta Connect 2025, but Valve stayed quiet. They showed the Index in April 2019 and launched it in June, so they might do the same thing. If the Steam Frame is being mass-produced, we might see an official reveal soon.
## What the Steam Frame Might Have
The tech details are still unclear, but based on rumors and patents, here's what to expect:
* **No PC Needed:** It works alone, so you can move around more freely.
* **Wireless:** Smoother wireless, with less lag and better immersion.
* **Clear Screens:** Expect sharp and bright displays because they're known for good visuals.
* **Better Tracking:** They might add better tracking and more comfortable controllers.
* **Steam Ready:** You'll be able to access the SteamVR library easily.
These things would put the Steam Frame up against high-end headsets like the HTC Vive XR Elite and the Apple Vision Pro, but focused on gaming.
## What's Next?
Valve takes its time with hardware, focusing on new ideas instead of rushing to release. That's why the Steam Frame has been in progress for a while. If the rumors are true, Valve is getting ready to launch a headset that's better than the Index and sets a new standard for PC VR.
The Steam Frame could bring back interest in high-end VR and create new experiences. With mass production rumored and talk of a late 2025 release, the clock is ticking.
Until Valve says it's real, everyone's watching them. The Steam Frame could be VR's next big thing – and it might be closer than we think.
13.Open-Source VR Headset Lets Sim Racers Build Their Own for Just $150
Build Your Own VR Headset for Under $150: CNCDan's Open-Source Project for Racing Fans
High-end VR headsets can easily cost over $1,000, but one YouTuber, CNCDan, shows that you don't need to spend a fortune to get into VR. He's a maker who loves engineering and sims, and he built a VR headset for less than $150. Best of all, he's sharing his project so anyone can copy it and make it even better.
A Cheap Way to Get Into VR
CNCDan just wanted a cheap VR headset to make racing sims more real. He used 3D printing and cheap parts from places like AliExpress. The result is a small VR headset that gives you a surprisingly good experience without costing a lot.
The headset uses two 2.9-inch screens made for Google Cardboard. They have a resolution of 2880x1440 pixels, so the picture is sharp like some of the more expensive headsets. You can also adjust the lenses to fit your eyes. The short focal distance of 4.5mm makes the headset small and comfy.
Smart and Cheap
To track your head movements, CNCDan used a GY-9250 IMU sensor. It keeps track of how you're moving your head. This sensor is hooked up to an Arduino Pro Micro, which is a small computer that processes the motion data. He also made a circuit board to keep the wires tidy. All of this is inside a light 3D-printed case that's easy to wear.
He printed the outer case and some parts inside to reduce light reflection and make the picture look better. The design is also easy to change. You can swap out the lenses or try different sensors.
Free to Use
The best thing about CNCDan's project is that it's open source. You can find all the design files and instructions online for free. This means anyone can build their own VR headset or make improvements. It makes VR more accessible, especially for students, teachers, and anyone who can't afford the expensive headsets.
The headset works with Relativity VR, which is free software that connects to SteamVR. This lets you play many VR games, including racing games, with CNCDan's headset. The screens can run at 90Hz, but they drop to 60Hz in SteamVR at full resolution. This can make the visuals a bit choppy, but it's still a good experience.
What It Can't Do (Yet)
A $150 headset can't do everything a Meta Quest or Valve Index can. It doesn't have features like inside-out tracking, hand tracking, or wireless. But if you're just using it for racing or flight sims, where you're sitting down, it's a great option.
This project also shows what a community can do. CNCDan hopes others will use his work and make it even better. People could add more features, make it more comfortable, or find new ways to use it, like for learning or designing.
The Future of DIY VR
CNCDan's headset is more than just a cool project. It shows that technology can be accessible and creative. He's proven that you can get into VR with cheap parts and some clever thinking. This could start a trend of DIY innovation.
The VR world is getting bigger and more diverse, and projects like this prove that progress doesn't always come from big companies. Sometimes, it comes from someone with a 3D printer and a passion for making things better.
If you're a maker looking for a project, a gamer curious about VR, or a teacher looking for cheap tech, CNCDan's headset is a great example of what's possible when you combine creativity with affordability.
14.Quest v81 Brings New Features: Immersive Home, QuickPlay, and Window Anchoring
The Meta Quest is getting a nice update! Horizon OS v81 is here, and it looks like it'll fix some issues and improve visuals. It was tested for about six weeks, and it might be one of the biggest updates since the Quest 3 came out.
The first thing you'll notice is the new Immersive Home. It's replacing the old VR home with something much prettier using Meta's Horizon Engine. There are four scenes to choose from – like a city or an aquarium – and even the lighting changes, which is a nice detail. It already looks better than the old homes, which some people didn't think were as good as what you see on the Apple Vision Pro.
The Immersive Home is also more interactive. You can walk around and chill on stuff! It feels more like a real space.
Meta also synced your movement settings in Horizon Home and Worlds, which is a start. Other apps can't use these settings yet, but maybe Meta will let developers use it soon.
Another cool thing is the Instagram Window, like a frame that shows your Instagram photos and videos in 3D. It, along with other objects like it, is part of Meta's plan to put social media in VR.
You can also pin 2D windows in place now, even in passthrough. You can have up to six windows open, and they stay there even if you restart or close apps.
This is awesome if you like to multitask. You can see messages, watch videos, or look at a document while you're doing something else in VR. In the Immersive Home, they look like they're stuck to the walls.
If you have a Quest 3 or 3S, you can start playing games before they're fully downloaded, just like on PlayStation and Xbox. Meta does it for you, so the game makers don't have to do anything.
This can make download times much shorter, which is great if you're excited to play something new!
The new Navigator interface has been around, but Meta's switching back to the old Universal Menu for now. They probably want to keep things simple.
You can still use Navigator if you're in the Public Test Channel, but some people lost it after the update. Meta is likely making sure it's perfect before everyone uses it.
Horizon OS v81 also has a Worlds Safety System. It reminds you to set up a boundary before you start playing, which is a good idea if it's your first time.
Keep in mind that updates can take a while to show up, and some features might not be there right away. Just be patient.
All in all, Horizon OS v81 is a solid update. The Immersive Home looks great, the window pinning is handy, and QuickPlay is a nice bonus. Meta's trying to make VR more than just games, and this update is a step in that direction.
15.Three Scientists Win Physics Nobel for Pioneering Work in Quantum Computing
16.IBM Unveils Quantum System Two, Marking a Milestone for Europ
John Clarke, Michel H. Devoret, and John M. Martinis are sharing the 2025 Nobel Prize in Physics for their early work that helped quantum computing get started.
In the '80s, they ran experiments, watching circuits act in quantum ways. This was big news for quantum computers, which could change things.
The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences in Stockholm, Sweden, said that these three figured out how to spot quantum tunneling and some weird energy stuff in circuits. It was a win for physicists and engineers.
Quantum mechanics tries to explain how tiny things act, and it can be pretty strange. Things can be in more than one place, connect from far away, and even go through walls.
Clarke, Devoret, and Martinis looked at quantum tunneling. Usually, only tiny particles can do this, but they saw it happen in regular electrical circuits, too. That showed that quantum and normal stuff can mix.
This idea is now important to quantum computing. Scientists used tunneling and energy to make superconducting qubits. You can think of these a bit like on/off switches but different. They can be in different states at the same time. Quantum computers can then solve super hard math problems much faster than your regular computer.
John Clarke, from the UK, now at the University of California, Berkeley, was shocked to get the prize. He said it was unexpected, and they didn’t see it coming.
Michel H. Devoret, from France, is a professor at Yale University. He's been key in moving superconducting circuits forward.
John M. Martinis, at the University of California, Santa Barbara, helped turn these ideas into real quantum processors.
They're splitting around £872,000, which shows how important their work is.
The Nobel Committee said that quantum mechanics is behind a lot of what we use, like phones and fiber optic cables, but quantum computing is different.
Quantum computers could change how we code, make materials, and build smarter AI. Regular computers use bits that are either 0 or 1. Quantum computers use qubits, which can be both at the same time. This speeds up how we answer hard math problems.
Clarke, Devoret, and Martinis actually made superconducting qubits work. These qubits use circuits that are cooled way down, and that's where quantum rules start. They’re reliable and can be made bigger, which is what you need for big quantum computers.
Professor Lesley Cohen from Imperial College London thought the prize was great. She said their work is the base for superconducting qubits, which we use in quantum tech.
The 2025 Nobel Prize recognizes quantum research. Others have been awarded the prize for quantum and light stuff before.
Previous winners include Geoffrey Hinton and John Hopfield (2024) for AI and Syukuro Manabe, Klaus Hasselmann, and Giorgio Parisi (2021) for climate.
This year's award shows that quantum mechanics still matters for tech. The work of Clarke, Devoret, and Martinis is now helping build machines that might change science and our lives.
Quantum computing is still new, but it's getting faster. Big companies like Google, IBM, and some startups are trying to build the best quantum systems. Governments are putting money into quantum research, too.
The work that got the Nobel Prize will be key. Being able to control quantum states in circuits isn't just science—it’s how you get computing we couldn't do before.
For Clarke, Devoret, and Martinis, the Nobel Prize is about their ideas, their work, and why science matters. Their finding shows us that even strange ideas can turn into tech and that the quantum world is part of what's real.
17.New NASA Data Reveals Mysterious 3I/ATLAS Object Is Much Bigger Than Predicted
3I/ATLAS: A Huge Space Rock Has Scientists Really Curious
Astronomers all over are super interested in this thing called 3I/ATLAS. It's the third interstellar object we've seen—after ʻOumuamua in 2017 and 2I/Borisov in 2019. But this one's different because it's huge, speedy, and weird. It's like a giant space rock, and it's making us ask a lot of questions.
A Really Big Interstellar Object
NASA’s ATLAS survey spotted 3I/ATLAS in July 2025. People noticed it fast because of its weird path, which showed it came from outside our solar system. But the size? That's what got everyone's attention. They think it weighs over 33 billion tons and is more than 5 kilometers across. That's way bigger than the other ones. ʻOumuamua was only 400 meters, and Borisov was under a kilometer. So, yeah, 3I/ATLAS is a big deal.
Avi Loeb, a Harvard astrophysicist, and some other scientists looked at its path and how much it's losing mass. They think 3I/ATLAS could be 1,000 to 100,000 times bigger than the others. Loeb said it's a monster, and we haven't seen anything this big from another star system.
A Strange Path and What It's Made Of
3I/ATLAS is taking a weird route, going near Jupiter, Mars, and Venus. It'll get pretty close to Mars's orbit—about 2.68 million kilometers. NASA's HiRISE camera on the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter will try to get some good pictures and info.
Its actions are confusing astronomers. At first, they thought it was a comet, but it's not acting like one. It has a lot of carbon dioxide and a strange orbit. And it just turned green, probably because it's releasing gases like CO₂ and frozen water. Comets do that, but not usually this much.
Just a Regular Thing, or Something Else?
Loeb is known for thinking outside the box, and 3I/ATLAS has made him wonder if it could be artificial. He says if it's even bigger than we think, it might not be natural. Most scientists think it's just a huge comet, but some like the idea that it could be an alien probe or something.
Loeb said that if it were a comet, it should break apart as it gets close to the Sun. So, how it acts then could tell us what it really is. It's supposed to get closest to the Sun on October 29, 2025, so that's when we'll learn more.
What We Want to Know
3I/ATLAS is a cool chance to check out something from another star system. Scientists really want to figure out what it's made of, where it came from, and what it all means. Could it have stuff like organic compounds or even tiny life? Could it teach us how other planetary systems form?
NASA and other space groups are working together to watch it with spacecraft and telescopes. They want to get as much info as they can before it leaves our solar system. Because it's so big and different, it's perfect for learning about space stuff, how gravity works, and if life can travel between planets on space junk.
No Danger, Just Really Interesting
Even though it's big and fast, 3I/ATLAS isn't going to hit Earth. It'll get about 270 million kilometers away, so we're safe. For now, it's just a really interesting space thing that reminds us how huge and mysterious the universe is.
As we look out into space, 3I/ATLAS is making us rethink things and want to explore more. It shows us how small we are and how many cool things are out there waiting to be found. Whether it's a giant comet, something left over from another star system, or something totally unexpected, 3I/ATLAS is a sign of the unknown—and how fun science can be.
18.Samsung Reportedly Adopting Pixel-Like AI Calling Features for Next Galaxy Update
Samsung users, listen up! One UI 8.5 is coming, and it looks like Galaxy phones are getting an AI call screener.
Basically, the next big Samsung update is hitting Galaxy phones and tablets soon. People are saying it's got some cool stuff. The most exciting? A new auto call answering thingy, called Auto answer with AI. It's Samsung's version of what Pixel phones already do.
Some folks digging around found it, and Galaxy Techie on Twitter showed screenshots. It’s better than Samsung’s Bixby Text Call, which turns speech to text for screening. This new Auto answer with AI does it all for you, keeping it easy.
So, how's this Auto answer with AI work?
When a call pops up, Auto answer with AI screens it after a delay you set. You can pick from five to 30 seconds, or your own time. When the time's up, the AI answers, talks to the caller, and shows you a live type of what they say.
It's great if you're busy, in a meeting, or just don't want to talk to rando numbers. Watch the text and decide if you want to pick up or let the AI handle it. Jump in anytime or wait till the end and read the convo.
You decide when Auto answer with AI starts. Pick what calls get screened, like spam, scams, pitches, or deliveries. You get the important calls but ditch the junk.
It works with Do Not Disturb, too. If you have Do Not Disturb on, the AI takes over, staying quiet but grabbing info if it’s important. Pick the language for screening.
How's this compared to Pixel's Call Screening?
Google’s Pixel phones are known for their call screening, where Google Assistant answers and shows you text. Samsung seems to be doing that, but giving you more control. Set delays, filter by call type, and use it with Do Not Disturb.
Samsung’s setup doesn’t need help from other companies. Features on PlayStation or Apple’s App Store need support, Samsung’s Auto answer with AI works alone. Use it now without waiting for other apps.
Made on Android 16 QPR2
One UI 8.5 will use Android 16 QPR2 (Quarterly Platform Release 2), which brings stuff and fixes. Samsung keeps some changes for these x.5 releases, and this update does the same. Expect call screening, plus better speed, battery, and a smoother feel.
Android 16 QPR2 also means Samsung gets Google’s newest security, tweaks, and tools for creators. One UI 8.5 isn’t just about looks—it’s a nice update.
How AI is in Samsung's World
Samsung's been putting AI into things, from camera tricks and smart stuff to voice and predictive text. This call screener is one more step toward making AI part of your day.
By using AI on calls, Samsung’s fixing a big problem for phone users: unwanted stuff and missed stuff. It shows how phones are moving: using AI to save us time.
What's expected?
This is based on what's been found in the software and could change before it is released. Still, with so many leaks, it seems like Auto answer with AI is almost sure to arrive.
Samsung hasn’t said when One UI 8.5 will be released, but they expect it in late 2025, starting with phones like the Galaxy S24 before going to others.
The Main Point
Samsung's One UI 8.5 looks good, with the new Auto answer with AI being the cool thing. By giving you good call control and using AI well, Samsung is trying to make life easier and private.
As phones get smart, this shows how AI can help, from stopping spam to managing a busy day. Auto answer with AI might be what you need.
19.Samsung’s Upcoming AI Calling Tool Takes Inspiration from Google Pixel’s Call Assist
Rumor has it that Samsung's One UI 8.5 is coming, and the Galaxy S25 Ultra is supposedly getting a smarter clock on the lock screen. Remember that clock that moves around thing they added in One UI 8.0? It looks like it’s getting better.
Basically, this clock moves so it doesn't cover faces or pets in your wallpaper. Now, it might work with almost any object in the image. It should move and resize based on what's behind it, which is kind of cool.
What's the Adaptive Lock Screen Clock?
If you're not up to speed, it changes its size and where it is based on your wallpaper, so it doesn't block anything important. Before, it only worked for people and pets. But according to @UniverseIce, the new version will spots buildings, cars and whatever else, too.
A Smarter Clock?
The software that got out show the clock will move based on whatever's in the background, not just people or pets. This means you can be more creative with wallpapers.
But, early tests say it might still be weird. Sometimes it doesn't recognize things right, especially with busy wallpapers. I think that they will fix things before the update is out for everyone.
How to Use It
If you haven't tried the adaptive clock, just press and hold on the lock screen to edit it. Tap the clock, go to Font and color, and pick the second option. If you want it to work best, pick a simple clock style first.
Done that, the clock should move by itself based on your wallpaper. You can move it yourself if you want to.
When's it Coming?
Samsung will probably let people try One UI 8.5 around the end of November. The finished version should be out in early 2026, probably on the Galaxy S25 first.
Samsung always listens to people who test the software, so you can bet they'll fix it up.
What Does This Mean?
The adaptive clock might seem small, but it shows how Samsung wants to make things more personal. By having the phone react to what you're doing, it's becoming more personal and user-friendly.
Other items of the One UI, like AI wallpapers and themes that change, are also part of this. So the phone feels more responsive and personal.
In short
The One UI 8.5 news for the Galaxy S25 Ultra gives us a look at stuff to come. The clock is just one small thing that should make the phone better to use and prettier.
20.Samsung’s Upcoming AI Calling Tool Takes Inspiration from Google Pixel’s Call Assist
Heads up! Samsung’s One UI 8 update, which is built on Android 16, is now hitting more phones! It's on the Galaxy XCover7 (the tough one) and the Galaxy M54 (the pretty good one). This suggests that it's not just their top-of-the-line phones getting the cool, new stuff.
**Galaxy XCover7: Built Like a Tank, Now with New Software**
The Galaxy XCover7, which can take a beating, is getting One UI 8 (software version G556BXXUBDYIA). If you're in Thailand, the Philippines, Vietnam, New Zealand, or Malaysia, check for it now!
This is awesome if you are an XCover fan because you usually have to wait a while to get the latest updates. The speed of this one shows that Samsung wants to give even their more specialized phones the latest version of Android.
With One UI 8, things should look better and run smoother and faster. You also get better privacy options, increased battery, and make your phone your own.
**Galaxy M54: Already Good, Now Even Better**
The Galaxy M54 is also getting One UI 8 (software version M546BXXU9EYI4). It's currently available in Thailand, Vietnam, New Zealand, Myanmar, and Malaysia. More countries are on the way.
This update is a big win for M54 owners. The cleaner look of One UI 8 will do a better job of multitasking, and the upgrade is compatible to Android 16. Apps should to open faster, use less memory, and be easier to get around the system.
The fact that Samsung is putting the M54 so early in the One UI 8 release says that these phones matter to them. These everyday phones are the key to growth for Samsung, so keeping them current means everyone has a good experience.
**What's New in One UI 8?**
One UI 8, based on Android 16, has these main changes:
* **New Look**: The whole look is cleaner with updated icons, smoother animations, and better layouts.
* **Privacy**: There are improved settings for what your apps can do and see, and better transparency on what the apps are doing with all your data.
* **Battery and Performance**: It’s better at handling the apps running in the background, so the battery lasts longer.
* **Personalization**: There are new themes, widgets, and lock screen options, so you can make the phone that fit your style.

These things should make using your phone better and safer, whether you're using the XCover7 or an all-around phone like the M54.
**How to Check if the update is ready**
To check, go to:
`Settings > Software update > Download and install`
Samsung does these updates in waves, so you might not see it right away. Also, ensure charging before updating.
**What's the final thought?**
The One UI 8 updates to the Galaxy XCover7 and M54 show that Samsung is trying to get updates to all their devices. As more phones get Android 16, expect for a smoother experience.
So, if you need the XCover7 because you work construction or use the M54 to scroll on social media, One UI 8 should keep your phone up-to-date.
21.Clones, Scams, and Fakes: Imposters Flood App Store Using Sora’s Name
Watch out! There are fake Sora apps floating around!
OpenAI's Sora, that cool AI video maker, is super popular right now. You need an invite to use it, and since the videos are awesome, everyone wants in. Of course, scammers are trying to take advantage of this. Someone at Mashable found some bogus apps in the app stores that are either pretending to be Sora or saying they'll give you access.
The Real Thing vs. The Fakes
Sora is OpenAI’s latest toy. Tell it what to do, and boom, you get a video. For now, it's just for iOS, and you need an invite, but it’s free. The invite thing is like a waving a red flag for scammers.
TechCrunch said that as soon as Sora was announced, a bunch of fake apps popped up on Apple's App Store. They had names like Sora 2 Video Creator and seemed real, even using fake screenshots. Apple took most of them down, but they were there for a bit.
Fake Apps Still on Google Play
It's even worse on Google Play. Google isn't as strict as Apple about checking apps, so a lot of these fake apps are still around, like Sora 2 Video Maker. These aren't old apps. They’re new, designed to fool people into downloading them, thinking they're from OpenAI.
Some of these fake apps don't do anything, while others are scams. They might charge you for nothing or steal your info. These apps can mess with your money, privacy, and even your safety.
Why Is Sora Such a Big Deal?
Sora's videos are great, and creative people seem to love it. It can make videos from just a few words that look super real. Sora is top tech these days.
Because getting access is tough, people are going to the app stores, hoping to get lucky, which makes things easy for scammers.
What the Tech Experts Say
The Mashable writer has been following Sora and the scam apps. They cover tech news and know that new tech is often risky.
They say to be careful when downloading apps, especially the ones promising early access to new stuff.
What You Should Do
If you're trying to try Sora, remember:
* The real app is only on iOS.
* It’s free, but you need an invite.
* Any app called Sora on Android is fake.
* Always check who made it. OpenAI is the only real one.
* Don't download apps that want you to pay right away or ask for too much access.
What's Next?
OpenAI wants to make Sora available in more countries later on, which might mean fewer fake apps. But for now, Apple and Google need to check their apps better to stop these scams.
As AI gets better, scammers will find more ways to trick you. So, stay sharp and be careful.
22.Google Wallet State ID Support Expands — See If Your State Made the List
## Adding Your ID and Passport to Google Wallet on Android
Having your ID on your phone is becoming normal, and Google Wallet is one of the first to let Android users keep their state IDs and passports safe right on their phones. It's rolling out across the U.S., which is cool because it means easier and safer access at airport security and other spots. Here’s what you should know about getting your ID into Google Wallet and where you’ll be able to use it.
### How to Add Your State ID
First off, you'll need an Android phone running Android 9 or later. Most new phones already have Google Wallet. Getting set up is pretty easy.
**Here’s what to do:**
1. Open the Google Wallet app.
2. Hit the Add to Wallet thing at the bottom.
3. Pick ID, and then Driver’s license or state ID.
4. Choose your state from the list.
5. Do what it tells you on the screen. That means:
* Snapping pics of the front and back of your ID.
* Recording a quick video of yourself so they can check who you are. They send a screenshot from the video to your state's ID people.
Once they check your ID and say it’s good to go, it’ll show up in your Google Wallet under your payment stuff. You can move things around so it’s easier to reach. If you lose your phone, you can get rid of your ID by going to myaccount.google.com > Personal Info > Manage IDs.
### Where You Can Use It
Right now, the main place to use your digital ID is at the TSA security lines in some airports.
There are two ways to show it:
* **NFC Tap:** Hold your phone to the NFC reader at the TSA spot. It’ll ask you to check the info and use your fingerprint, PIN, or face to confirm it’s you.
* **QR Code:** Open your ID in Google Wallet and show the QR code to the TSA agent.
Just so you know, even if you have the digital ID ready, you still gotta bring your actual ID when you travel. This is to make sure you're following the rules.
Soon, you'll also be able to use your digital ID at DMVs in some states.
### What Else Can It Do?
Google’s trying to make digital IDs useful in more places. Think about being able to:
* Get back into your Amazon account
* Get into online medical stuff
* Prove who you are on Uber
Basically, they want to make digital IDs a key thing for checking who you are online, which should make things easier and safer.
### Using Your Passport Instead
If you don’t have a REAL ID, you can use your U.S. passport to create an ID in Google Wallet. You can use this at TSA checkpoints for flights within the U.S.
**Here's how:**
1. Open Google Wallet.
2. Click “Add to Wallet”, then just tap ID pass.”
3. Do these three things:
* Take a photo of your passport’s main info page.
* Scan the security chip on the back with NFC.
* Record a short video of your face. Google uses this to make sure you're real.
After it’s confirmed, your passport ID works like a state ID in Google Wallet. Keep in mind that you can only use this for flying within the U.S. You’ll still need your physical passport, too.
### Wrapping Up
Digital IDs in Google Wallet are a good thing in terms of making things easier. Whether you’re traveling or proving who you are online, having your ID on your phone can be pretty handy. More states and services are getting on board, so it’s becoming a must-have for modern life.
Just a heads up: even though digital IDs are cool, they don’t replace your actual ID completely. Always have your physical ID or passport with you when you're traveling or dealing with important stuff.
23.I’ve Used the iPhone 17 for 2 Weeks — and There’s One Problem Apple Needs to Fix
The iPhone 17 Pro's Camera Control: Fix It, Don't Ditch It
So, Apple put this Camera Control button on the iPhone 16, and tried to make it better with the iPhone 17 Pro, thinking it would be this big thing for phone photography. But a lot of people, you know, folks with bigger hands, are just getting annoyed by it. The idea had potential, but the way it is right now? Not so great. It's in a weird spot, goes off by accident, and doesn't always understand your gestures. People are talking about what's gonna happen to it, and it makes you wonder: Should Apple fix this thing or just give up?
Where's the Spot?
For those of us with larger hands, where they put the Camera Control button is a pain. When you're holding the phone to take a picture, your hand just doesn't naturally go there. You end up stretching your finger just to reach it. You can use it, sure, but it's not comfortable at all.
Holding it differently doesn't really help. You can flip the phone, and, yeah, your thumb can hit the button easier, but then you're blocking the camera. Your hand isn't steady, and that's the last thing you want when you're trying to get a good shot. Portrait mode is a little better, but it still feels like the button's in the wrong spot.
Apple was thinking about adding another Camera Control button on top of the iPhone 17, but they didn't. It might have seemed like too much, but if they just moved it closer to the bottom-right, it could have made things way better.
Too Sensitive!
Another thing: the button's too sensitive. Apple did try to stop it from going off in your pocket, but it still feels like it reacts too easily. It's super easy to open the camera by mistake, or take a blurry picture just by moving your hand.
The regular buttons on the iPhone need a good press to work, but this Camera Control thing just needs a touch. This makes it feel kinda cheap, and it messes up a lot. You can turn down the sensitivity in the settings, but having to mess with the settings just to stop taking accidental photos? That kinda defeats the purpose.
If you had to press a little harder, that could fix it. If you're trying to take a pic on purpose, a firmer press won't slow you down. But it would stop your camera roll from being full of pictures of the ground.
Gestures Got Me Confused!
The Camera Control isn't just a button; it's about gestures too. A light press takes a picture, a swipe uses the scroll wheel, and a double-light press shows more options. Seems easy, right? Nope! It takes a while to learn.
Even people who use it a lot say the gestures are hard. Light presses don't always work, and double taps need too much care. Funny thing? Turning up the sensitivity actually helped some people get the gestures to work better – even though the problem was that it was already too sensitive!
It just shows the gestures aren't obvious. Apple wants things to just work, but that's not what's happening here. You have to guess or go back to using the screen, which, thanks to iOS 26, is easier to use anyway.
So, What Should Apple Do?
The Camera Control can still be good. It has potential, especially for people who want to get to things fast without digging through menus. But they need to fix it.
Here's what they should think about:
* Move the button, so it's easier to reach, especially when holding the phone sideways.
* Change the sensitivity, so it doesn't go off by accident so much, but the gestures still work.
* Make the gestures more reliable, so light presses, swipes, and double taps work every time.
* Let people change how the button works, so it fits how they hold the phone.
They don't need to start over; just do some polishing. Apple has made stuff better over time before, and Camera Control should be next.
What's Going to Happen?
There are rumors about what's next for Camera Control. One says the iPhone 18 will just get rid of it because not many people use it, and it costs too much to make. The other says Apple will make it simpler, using a normal, press-down button instead of the touch thing, but keep the gestures.
A regular button could fix a lot. It would feel better, stop accidental presses, and feel more familiar. If they also put it in a better spot and made the gestures work better, this could be a really helpful tool.
Throwing the feature away would be too bad. Apple has been trying to make photography easier, and Camera Control – if they get it right – could be a big part of that. But if they don't fix what's wrong, you can see why people might stop using it.
Last Thoughts
Camera Control was supposed to make taking pictures easier, but it's done the opposite for a lot of people. From being in a bad spot and too sensitive, to being hard to learn, it feels like it's not finished. Apple can still fix it with a better design, smarter settings, and gestures that make sense.
If the rumors are right, and the iPhone 18 has a new Camera Control button, that could change everything. A normal button, where people can actually reach it, might finally make taking pictures easy.
24.I Downloaded This App on a Whim — and It Totally Changed How I Spend My Days
This weekend, I wanted a change of pace. Instead of the usual, my wife, daughter, and I chilled outside. We picked up some mums to brighten up the yard for Fall. Usually, plants are a stick it and see if it grows kind of thing for me. My wife handles the garden since she knows what she's doing. But I wanted to try something different this time.
That's when I found this app called Sun Surveyor.
I only wanted to check where the sun lands in our yard to keep the mums out of the shade. But the more I use it, the more I see what it can do. The app shows you where the sun is now and where it will be all year. That is a big deal if you're planting based on the seasons.
I'm finding out that gardening is more than just sunlight. You have to think about the dirt, the weather, and the animals around. A plant might be OK in Spring but not so much in Fall. And deer might still waltz in and eat your flowers, no matter how much you plan. But Sun Surveyor makes it a little easier.
I used my Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold to check out the sun's path on the big screen. The app has a map view that shows your yard from above, showing where the sun hits. It can even put the sun's path on Google Street View. I could even stand in my yard and see how sunlight looks during the day and in different seasons. Pretty cool, huh?
This app could also be useful if you shoot photos. I remember at our wedding, the photographer planned to get the best light. You can do that too with this app. If you're taking pictures at a wedding, making a film, or want to catch a nice sunset, knowing where the sun will be can be important.
If you know what's up, you won't sweat it as much. You can use Sun Surveyor to pick places and times for a shoot, which means you have less stuff bugging you. It’s simple, right on, and works great on a phone.
There are fake AI photos all over the place these days. But Sun Surveyor can even help you tell if a photo is real or not. AI can generate fake images that look real. But they sometimes mess up the minor details. If you use Sun Surveyor to see if the light is right for the time and place, and something is off, you might be looking at a fake.
Plus, it’s kind of fun. The app runs down facts about space, so I can use it to plan when to look at the stars with my daughter. Whether it’s a supermoon or the Milky Way, I can use Sun Surveyor to help make those nights worth it.
I usually do the same stuff and use my phone the same old way. But this made me realize there's always another way to do stuff, especially if you have a good app. The next time you're stuck on something or making plans, give your surroundings a look. You might find something that makes you think differently.
25.Apple Watch’s New HTN Alert Brings Blood Pressure Insights to Your Wrist
Your Apple Watch Can Now Spot High Blood Pressure Clues
High blood pressure is a problem for tons of people—over 1.3 billion adults all over the globe have it. The bad thing is, a lot of them don't even know because it doesn't always cause symptoms. Usually, you get your blood pressure checked at the doctor's, maybe once or twice a year. But that might not catch the times when your blood pressure goes up and down, especially if you have masked high blood pressure, where it's normal at the doctor's office but high at other times. Now, Apple's trying to help fix that. They've got a new thing for the Apple Watch that can tell you if you might have high blood pressure. The FDA says it's okay to use.
Wearable Health Enters a New Stage
This new feature is on the Apple Watch Series 9 and Ultra 2 (but not the SE model). It's for adults who aren't pregnant and are 22 or older who haven't already been told they have high blood pressure. The watch doesn't actually measure your blood pressure directly. Instead, it uses light to keep tabs on your blood volume changes. This gives it clues about your heart health.
Every couple of hours when you're awake, the watch takes a 60-second reading. Then, for a month, it looks at all those readings to see if there are signs of high blood pressure. If it thinks you might have it, you'll get a message saying possible high blood pressure. Then, you should go to the doctor to get it checked for real.
One heart doctor at Brown University, Dr. Ankur Shah, thinks this is pretty cool. He told Medscape that being able to keep an eye on your health outside of the doctor's office is a big deal. Getting readings every day is way better than just seeing the doctor now and then, especially since your blood pressure can be weirdly high or low when you're at the clinic.
What It Does and Doesn't Do
It's vital to know that the Apple Watch isn't giving you exact blood pressure numbers. It's not like those arm cuff things that measure your blood pressure. Instead, it's like a first check, a way to spot potential problems using the data from its heart sensor.
Dr. Pradeep Natarajan, who's in charge of heart health at Massachusetts General Hospital, says not to only trust the watch. He said that the Apple Watch shouldn't replace regular blood pressure checks. Still, he thinks it could be helpful for finding people who don't know they have high blood pressure. So, it's could be useful as a way to check lots of people at once..
But is it right?
Apple used computers and a bunch of information to make this thing. They tested it out on over 2,000 people who didn't have high blood pressure before. These people wore the Apple Watch for at least half a day for a month. They also checked their blood pressure two times a day with a real blood pressure cuff.
Here's what they found:
It spotted about 41% of people with high blood pressure correctly. It did better with people who had really high blood pressure (53.7%).
It was right about 92.3% of the time when it said someone didn't have high blood pressure. It was even better at spotting normal blood pressure, at 95.3%.
These numbers mean that the watch is good at not giving false alarms. But it might miss some people who actually have high blood pressure. Dr. Natarajan said Apple wanted to be careful about not bothering people with too many alerts, which makes sense for something you just buy and use at home. The downside is, if you don't get an alert, it doesn't mean you're in the clear.
So, What Happens if You Get an Alert?
If your watch tells you that you might have high blood pressure, Apple suggests talking to your doctor. The watch will also tell you to keep track of your blood pressure and use a blood pressure cuff to check it for seven days.
Dr. Shah said that he would pay attention to those alerts if he were a doctor. But he also said that just because you don't get an alert doesn't mean you don't have high blood pressure. You still need to use the regular ways of checking to decide what to do.
Other Watches
Apple's not the only one working on this, but they're the only ones that have gotten the okay from the FDA to check for high blood pressure without you having to do anything.
Samsung Galaxy Watch3 and Watch Active2: These can measure your blood pressure when you tell them to, but you have to set them up with a cuff sometimes. Also, you can't use this in the U.S. because it's not approved by the FDA.
OMRON HeartGuide: This wristwatch measures your blood pressure like a regular cuff. It came out in the U.S. a few years ago, and it's one of the few that's been proven to work well.
Google Pixel Watch: Google's trying out a way to check for high blood pressure, too. It uses the watch's sensors and asks you questions. Maybe it'll be on Fitbit one day, but it's not approved by the FDA yet.
A Step in the Right Direction
The Apple Watch's new HTN alert is a way to be more careful of your health. Instead of just checking your blood pressure at the doctor's, you can now keep an eye on it from your wrist. It's not a way to diagnose yourself, but it can help you spot problems early, especially if you wouldn't normally get checked.
As these kinds of watches get better, they could really help lower the number of people who have problems with high blood pressure. Maybe one day, these regular gadgets will be good as the medical stuff.
For now, the Apple Watch HTN alert is a good start and could help a lot of people spot a silent danger before it becomes too serious.
26.Huawei Watch GT 6 Pro Review: A Premium Fitness Watch That Balances Power and Style
**Huawei Watch GT 6 Pro: Looks Good, Tracks Okay, But Has Some Issues**
Huawei's still trying to get smartwatches right, and the Watch GT 6 Pro is their latest try to beat the GT 5 Pro. It looks better, the screen is nicer, and it has more stuff for keeping an eye on your health and workouts. So, if you're into working out or cool gadgets, it's not a bad choice. But it's not perfect. I used it for a few weeks, and here's what I thought was good – and what wasn't.
**Looks and Feel**
Huawei usually does smartwatch designs well, and the GT 6 Pro is the same. It's built with a tough titanium body, so it feels high-quality and can handle some bumps. This gives the watch a cool, techy feel.
The GT 6 Pro comes in a box with a charger that sticks on with magnets, and a USB cable. It has a brown strap that's part rubber, part fabric. The straps are 22mm, but Huawei uses its own way of connecting them, so regular straps won't fit – which sucks if you like swapping them out.
At 45.6mm wide and 11.25mm thick, the GT 6 Pro isn't small. It's around 55 grams without the strap, so it might feel a little big at first, especially if you're used to lighter watches like the Watch Fit 3. But you get used to it.
**The Screen**
The GT 6 Pro has a 1.47-inch AMOLED touchscreen that's sharp and responds fast. The screen has glass on top to protect it and curves at the edges, which looks nice. Huawei made the edges around the screen smaller, so you get more to look at.
The screen is really bright and better than the one on the GT 5 Pro. It's easy to see what's on the screen whether you're out in the sun or inside.
The watch has two buttons on the right – a turning crown and a button you can program. The crown opens your apps, and the other button starts the workout app by default.
**What It Runs On**
The GT 6 Pro uses Harmony OS 6.0, which makes it easy to use. Swipe to move around, pull down for settings, and check your notifications. You can put your apps in rows or a list, and you can make shortcuts for the apps you use the most.
If you double-tap the crown, it shows the apps you've used recently, so you can switch between them quickly. Pressing both buttons takes a screenshot that's saved in the Huawei Health app.
The watch lets you keep the screen on all the time (AOD), which makes the watch face darker but still shows the time. Huawei's watch faces are made to not use a lot of power, so they go to a black background when you're in AOD mode.
The whole system is easy to figure out, but you don't get many apps outside of China. You get the basics like a compass and calculator, but it's not as good as Google's WearOS or Apple's watchOS.
**Connection**
The GT 6 Pro uses Bluetooth 6.0 and works with phones that use Android, iOS, and HarmonyOS. It has good GPS, NFC (in some places), a mic, and a speaker.
You sound pretty clear when you're on a call, even if it's noisy. You can make calls as long as your phone's nearby. If you have an Android or HarmonyOS phone, you can type back to messages with a keyboard, but it feels cramped on such a small screen.
There's no cell service – that's only on Huawei's more expensive watches. Also, NFC payments don't work in Europe, so the Huawei Wallet app is pointless.
**Health Tracking**
Huawei focuses on health tracking, and the GT 6 Pro is even better with a newer sensor and better software. It's packed with sensors: heart rate, gyro, air pressure, temperature, light, ECG, and depth.
It keeps track of:
* Heart rate all the time
* Blood oxygen all the time
* Your sleep and stress levels
* Skin temperature
* ECG to check if your heart's beating normally
* Mood
The ECG is a little hard to get working, but it gives you good info that you can share with your doctor. The mood tracking is okay, using stress data to guess how you're feeling.
**Workouts**
The GT 6 Pro is good for workouts, with over 150 ways to track them. There are some new additions like:
* A power meter for bike riders
* Maps of golf courses
* Better running stats
* Waterproof up to 40 meters
It can handle dust and water, so it's good for swimming, but not for diving. The GPS is pretty accurate and fast, so it's good for working out outdoors.
**Battery Life**
The GT 6 Pro has a big battery and lasts a long time. Huawei says it can last up to 21 days, and that's pretty close if you don't use it a lot. Even with the screen always on and health tracking running, it still lasts over a week.
It charges with the charger that comes with it, and while it's not super fast, you don't need to charge it often.
**In Short**
The Huawei Watch GT 6 Pro is a decent smartwatch. It feels well-made, the screen is good, and it tracks your health and workouts okay. Things like not being able to use NFC everywhere, no cell service, and not a lot of apps might be reasons not to get it for some people.
If you care about having long battery life and keeping an eye on your health and workouts, the GT 6 Pro is an okay choice. But if you need a lot of apps or want to use your watch to pay for things, you might want to check out other options.
27.Huawei’s New Smartwatch Lasts So Long, You Might Forget to Charge It
**HUAWEI WATCH GT 6 Series: A Smartwatch for Everything You Do**
Huawei just dropped its latest smartwatch, the HUAWEI WATCH GT 6 Series. It looks like a solid pick for gym rats, outdoor types, and anyone who's into cool tech. It's got some neat tricks up its sleeve, like virtual cycling power tracking, souped-up GPS, and even keeps an eye on your mood. Huawei's trying to make this watch the go-to gadget, especially if you're serious about performance.
**Cyclists, Check This Out**
One thing that sets the GT 6 Series apart is the virtual cycling power thingy. It's pretty cool – it gives you cycling data without needing a separate power meter. It uses your speed, the road's steepness, and your weight to figure things out. They worked with some experts to build the math behind it, so you can track your cycling when you're out riding for at least ten minutes.
The GT 6 Series also knows when you're cycling and starts tracking automatically. Plus, it pauses when you stop, so you don't mess up your data. If you like planning routes, it works with apps like Komoot, and you can even share rides with friends through the Huawei Health app.
**Built Tough for the Outdoors**
Whether you're running trails, golfing, skiing, or just hiking, the GT 6 Series can handle it. Huawei's got a new GPS system that's supposed to be super accurate, so you won't get lost. It also has fall detection – if you take a spill, it'll send an SOS after a minute if you don't respond.
Both models are built to take a beating. The GT 6 Pro can handle being underwater up to 40 meters and has a special rating, so you can use it for snorkeling. The regular GT 6 is also water-resistant and tough.
**Looks Good, Too**
The GT 6 Series has a bright screen, so you can see it even when it's sunny. You can pick from different bands and colors to match your style.
Even though it's tough, the GT 6 Series looks good. It's sleek and modern, so you can wear it anywhere.
**Health Tracking**
Huawei's health system tracks your heart rate, blood oxygen, sleep, and stress. It even tries to track your mood and give you tips.
Some people might think the mood tracking is a bit of a gimmick, but Huawei's trying to cover all the bases. The GT 6 Pro can also do ECGs, so you can check for weird heart rhythms.
**Battery Life**
The GT 6 Series has great battery life. The GT 6 Pro can last up to 21 days on a charge, and the regular GT 6 gets about 14 days. Even if you use all the features, you should still get a decent amount of time.
This is great if you're going on a trip or just don't want to charge your watch every day.
**What It Works With and How Much It Costs**
The GT 6 Series works with iPhones, Android phones, and Huawei phones. The regular GT 6 starts at £229, and the GT 6 Pro is £329.
**Other Options**
If you're looking around, the Fitbit Charge 6 Fitness Tracker is another choice. The Garmin Forerunner 55 is good for runners.
**What People Are Saying**
People seem to like Huawei's smartwatches. They say they're comfortable, have a clear screen, and track fitness well. One person said it's super comfy and lasts about a week on a charge.
Another person said it's a great affordable smartwatch that does almost as much as an Apple Watch. But one person said the nylon strap can fray and get dirty.
**Final Thoughts**
The HUAWEI WATCH GT 6 Series seems like a good option, with features for everyone. If you're into fitness, health, or just want a long-lasting smartwatch, it's worth checking out. It might not have all the apps of an Apple Watch, but it's got the features where it counts.
28.Google’s Pixel Watch 4 Is Easier to Repair Than Any Apple Watch Yet
## The Pixel Watch 4: A Smartwatch You Can Actually Fix!
The Pixel Watch 4 from Google is different. Usually, smartwatches are a real pain to fix. They're all glued together, making them hard to get into. But Google's doing things differently with the Pixel Watch 4 – it's a cool watch that works well, and you can actually fix it yourself!
## No More Old Ways
The old Pixel Watches looked fine, but if the screen broke or the battery died, you basically had to buy a new one. Fixing them wasn't really an option. But now, things have changed: the Pixel Watch 4 got a crazy good repair score (9/10) from iFixit.
What's the secret? it's the design. Instead of using glue, the Pixel Watch 4 uses two Torx T2 screws under the band to help you to pop it open. Inside, the battery and screen are held in place with screws (T2 and T5). So, you can get to them without wrecking everything. It's like they actually wanted you to be able to get inside – unlike the older models.
## Yep, It's Still Waterproof
A fixable watch can't be waterproof, right? Well, Google's thought of that too. It has a silicone O-ring seal that keeps water out (IP68 and 5ATM ratings). So, you can still swim or hang out in the rain, even after you have changed the battery or screen.
This mix of being able to fix it and lasting a long time is rare, especially with gadgets you wear. It seems to show that Google is trying to be greener and give people some control.
## A Different Way to Charge
Google changed the charger to make repairs easier. The Pixel Watch 4 uses a cradle charger on the side instead of magnets on the back. This helps the repair folks get inside easier, but it means your older chargers won't work. That's kind of annoying if you already had a Pixel Watch.
Some people might not like this, but it might be worth it if you want to be able to fix your stuff later on.
## Parts and Warranty: No Gotchas
The best thing is that Google's working with iFixit to sell spare parts. You don't have to jump through hoops to get them.
Even better, Google says that opening the Pixel Watch 4 to change the battery or screen won't mess up your warranty. That's a big deal, since most companies get weird about that kind of thing.
## Why It's Important
The Pixel Watch 4 being fixable is a big change in what people think. We make too much trash from our old electronics, so letting people keep their stuff going is a good thing. Also, you get to be in control, so you don't have to drop a ton of cash on replacements or only have a few repair choices.
People want to be able to fix their own things and have products that don't break so easy. So, it seems like Google's trying to make tech that lasts.
## More Than Just Fixable: It's a Good Watch
The Pixel Watch 4 has screws and good software. It keeps track of your fitness, and it has safety stuff, like satellite SOS. The screen is brighter and faster, and it works well with Google's other products.
It comes in two sizes (41mm and 45mm). The basic Bluetooth model starts at \$349, and the LTE cellular costs \$100 more. It started arriving on October 9th, and the reviews say it's the best Pixel Watch so far.
## In Closing
The Pixel Watch 4 is a cool step for wearable tech. Google made a watch that you can fix that looks good and works well. It's a bold move that could change how other smartwatches are made.
If you like gadgets, care about the planet, or are tired of having to replace stuff when it breaks, the Pixel Watch 4 gives you some power. And with how fast tech changes, that's a great thing.
29.Apple’s Next AirPods May Get Smarter With New H3 Chip Inside
Everyone's buzzing about what's next for the AirPods Pro 3 and what Apple's planning.
The AirPods Pro 3 dropped last month with better battery, different sized tips, and nicer sound. But check this out – they're still using the H2 chip from back in 2022. The H2 works fine, but it feels like Apple’s not showing its full hand.
What's the deal with this H3 chip rumor?
Mark Gurman at Bloomberg says Apple's making an H3 chip for the next AirPods. No release date yet, but it should give us better sound and faster performance, the usual Apple upgrades.
This H3 chip might show up in a future AirPods Pro 3, maybe with those infrared cameras sometime next year. Who knows? Those cameras could see things, plus offer hand controls and better fitness stuff. Of course, the H3 will need some power for all of that.
is Apple going to test the chip with a little AirPods Pro 3 upgrade or save it for a whole new model? They usually do small upgrades first, so maybe the IR camera version is still a Pro 3 but with the H3 inside.
AirPods 5: Here's what we know
Besides the Pro models, Apple’s also updating the regular AirPods. The AirPods 4 and AirPods 4 with Noise Cancellation (ANC) came out last year, and Gurman thinks we’ll see an update later this year or next.
That heart-rate thing people wanted in the AirPods Pro 3 probably won't be in the AirPods 5, but Apple is checking out some health features, like a temperature thing like the Apple Watch Series 8 and newer.
The AirPods 5 could use some new stuff, but I wouldn't get too excited. I don't know if it will have the H3 chip, but if Apple wants things to be the same across their products, it could show up on the cheaper models sometime.
How about prices?
If you don't need the newest stuff, the older AirPods 4 are cheaper now. You can get the regular ones for around $89, and the ANC version for about $119. Not bad if you want fine sound and like Apple without going broke .
Just so you know, the AirPods 4 with ANC might not block sound as well as the Pros, and they don't have the new tips or that transparency mode. But for just listening to music, they’re still good.
So, what's on the horizon?
Apple is always making AirPods better, trying to mix good sound with health and location features. The H3 chip hints at some cool extras, maybe for their watch or even that VR/AR headset.
Whether it's the IR cameras, temperature sensors, or faster sound, the next AirPods will be more than just earbuds. They could be a way to make life easier and keep you plugged in.
The AirPods Pro 3 are fine with the hardware updates, even though they're still using last year's chip. But with Apple's chip team at work, I’m sure some cool new audio gadgets are coming soon.
30.Apple’s Next Leap in Silicon: M5-Powered Macs and iPads May Launch This Week
People are saying Apple will probably drop the M5 chip this week, plus some other new stuff in October.
It looks like Apple's getting ready to show off some new toys, and they're all powered by the M5 chip. Mark Gurman from Bloomberg thinks we might see upgrades like a cool iPad Pro, a slightly tweaked Vision Pro, and a new MacBook Pro – all running on Apple's latest chip.
A Chill Launch
Unlike that crazy iPhone 17 launch last month, Apple's probably going to keep things quiet this October. Gurman thinks they'll just put out some press releases and videos online instead of holding a big event. It'll probably be similar to when they released the M4 MacBook Pro last year.
Even if it's not a big deal, these products are key for Apple's chip plans. The M5 chip should make everything faster, give better battery life, and make the AI smarter, which sets the stage for Apple's future stuff.
M5 MacBook Pro: Start with the Basic
The basic MacBook Pro will be the first to get the M5 chip. Gurman said before that Apple wanted to push the M5 MacBook Pro in early 2025, but it sounds like they're already making them now. Maybe Apple wants to speed up to keep up with orders or just get products out quicker.
Stores might be running low on older stuff. It seems Apple Stores don't have many M4 MacBook Pros left, especially the entry-level ones, but they have tons of the M4 Pro and M4 Max versions. This could hint that a new version is coming soon, with the M5 chip leading the way.
But Gurman says the better M5 Pro and M5 Max chips won't be here till next year. So, Apple's gonna roll things out slowly, starting with the basic model and the more powerful ones in 2025.
iPad Pro and Vision Pro Tweaks
Along with the MacBook Pro, Apple's said to be showing off a new iPad Pro. We don't know much yet, but it'll have the M5 chip and maybe more RAM or a nicer screen. The iPad Pro's always been a way to show off Apple's chips, and the M5 could make it great for getting stuff done.
The Vision Pro is also getting some small love, mostly for comfort. Gurman says Apple's gonna offer a new strap for a better fit. No word on any internal changes, but the M5 chip could mean faster speeds and better battery life.
So, What About the M5 Chip?
Apple hasn't said much about the M5 chip yet, but the word is that it's built using TSMC's new N3P tech. This means they can fit more into it, use less power, and keep it cooler. The chip might also have smarter AI, which will help things like photo editing or translating languages instantly.
This goes along with Apple's plan to add more AI into their stuff. With companies like Qualcomm and Intel making their own AI chips, the M5 is Apple's way of keeping up.
What's Coming?
Apple's October releases might not be huge, but the products could get people excited. The M5 chip starts a new thing for Apple's chips, and using it in these devices shows they're serious about faster, smarter, and better gear.
Releasing things a little at a time lets Apple control how much they have and keep things interesting. We're getting the regular MacBook Pro first, with the cooler versions and other things coming next year.
Keep an eye on Apple's site and YouTube; they'll probably show off the next Apple chip soon.
31.Apple’s Upcoming Mac Lineup for 2025 and 2026 May Have Just Leaked
It sounds like Apple's got some pretty interesting updates planned for their Macs this year, like new MacBook Pros and Airs with the M5, plus other stuff in the works.
Apparently, this macOS Tahoe 26 thing might mean Apple's prepping to refresh their Mac lineup. Some people in the know have peeked at Apple's plans between now and 2026. What does it boil down to? New laptops, desktops, and updated software.
M5 MacBook Pro Soon?
First up might be the standard M5 MacBook Pro. Some say it could show up pretty soon, which lines up with what Mark Gurman at Bloomberg has been saying—Apple's about to drop a bunch of new laptops. What is new about the M5 chip? Faster performance, better battery, more AI smarts, according to sources.
The AppleInsider folks think the M5 MacBook Pro could arrive before 2026, probably with an online announcement, just like they did with the MacBook Pro back in October 2024.
M5 MacBook Air in Early 2026?
After the MacBook Pro, we might see new 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air models with the M5 chip. These could land around early 2026, about the same time as macOS Tahoe 26.2.
They did something similar with the M4 MacBook Air in March 2025, launching it alongside macOS Sequoia 15.3. The new Airs should replace the current M4 models, which were a hit because they were portable but tough.
High-End MacBook Pro: M5 Pro and M5 Max
Once the MacBook Airs are out, Apple's likely to focus on the beefier MacBook Pros with M5 Pro and M5 Max chips. These should give power users a real boost.
Gurman thought these chips might not be ready until early 2026, but a new person said they'll arrive shortly after the MacBook Air update, maybe in the first half of the year. If that happens, the M5 MacBook Pro range is complete and with choices for everyone.
Desktop Mac Updates in Mid-2026?
It seems like desktop Macs are also getting some love. The source says updated Mac minis and Mac Studios are coming in mid-2026. These will replace the current models, you know, like the M3 Ultra Mac Studio from March 2025.
There might be a new iMac on the way too, but the timing is less clear. The iMac doesn't get updated as often, so Apple's probably waiting to add some big improvements before releasing a new one.
Software: macOS Tahoe 26
The macOS Tahoe 26 news seems linked to Apple's hardware plans. The releases of each operating system should match up with new Mac launches hopefully making it as easy as possible for users.
This says Apple cares about hardware and software working together, so new Macs can make the most of all the macOS features.
More than Macs: iPads and iPhones Too
This info is mostly about Macs, but Apple has other things planned. New iPad Pro models are coming, possibly with better screens and chips. There's also talk of a cheaper iPhone 17e to make the iPhone 17 series more affordable.
So, if this person is right, Apple's going to be busy. From the M5 MacBook Pro and Air to new desktops and software, they're planning a major refresh of their whole computer lineup.
These releases and software updates could help keep people interested through 2026. This should mean more choices, more power, and better device sharing.
32.Samsung W26 Combines Cutting-Edge Tech with Timeless Elegance
Samsung has this new foldable, the W26, but it's only for China. It's basically a pumped-up Galaxy Z Fold 7 but with a few changes.
**Looks Fancy**
This W26 isn't just a copy of the Z Fold 7. It's got red or black colors, plus gold accents. Samsung is trying to get the attention of rich folks in China who want to show off the latest stuff. Even though it looks all fancy, it still feels pretty light at 215 grams.
Samsung gives you a nice box with a strong case, a cable for charging, and the actual charger too! You don't always get that, so it looks like they treat their customers right.
**Satellite Calls**
Aside from how it looks, the W26 is pretty strong inside. It can make calls using satellites, which the regular Z Fold 7 can't. If you travel a lot, or if you just want to always be able to reach people, the W26 might be good.
It has more memory too. The ones with 512GB and 1TB of storage have 16GB of RAM, but the normal Z Fold 7 only has 12GB. That extra memory helps if you're doing a lot of things at once.
**Galaxy AI**
Samsung's been putting more AI in its phones, and the W26 has some special AI features. There's Smart Collection, which organizes all your pictures and texts in one spot so you don't get lost.
This AI stuff is Samsung's way of trying to make their phones smarter. These extras make the phone feel special.
**Why Just China?**
You can't buy the W26 outside of China. Samsung usually only sells its W series in China. They work with China Telecom to add things that people in China like. The W series is more like a top-of-the-line thing that business people and rich customers enjoy.
This lets Samsung really focus on what people in China want, which can be different from what people in other countries want. The W26 will be sold with the regular Z Fold 7 in China, so buyers can choose between new tech and looking classy.
**Price and Availability**
The W26 is about $2,383 for the 512GB one and about $2,663 for the 1TB one. It costs so much because it's great, has some unique things, and it's hard to find.
The regular Z Fold 7 is cheaper, but it doesn't have the fancy look, satellite calls, or extra memory. If you're in China and want a foldable phone that shows you've made it, the W26 could be right for you.
**The Bottom Line**
The Samsung W26 is more than just a foldable phone—it's a way to show off. With the gold stuff, satellite features, and special AI, it's Samsung at its best.
33.iPhone Fold Rumors: Design, Release Window, and What to Expect
People are talking about a foldable iPhone, maybe called the iPhone Fold. I think it will open like a book, just like Samsung and Google's phones. It's probably coming around 2026 – maybe with the iPhone 18. Everyone wants to know what it will look like, especially the screen, and I know it's gonna be costly!
📅 When and How Much?
Some people on Weibo and Mark Gurman are saying late 2026, maybe at Apple's September event. They're hearing Apple is buying screens, so it could be real.
How much? Around $2,000, like Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold. Apple might try to make it cheaper, but they usually don't with these types of devices.
🧩 What's the Look?
The iPhone Fold could look like the iPhone Air they say is coming in September 2025. Think strong metal and glass, like two iPhone Airs stuck together.
Someone at Apple said the iPhone Air style might be coming back, which means the Fold could be super thin. Maybe thinner than the iPhone Air when it's open, like the Galaxy Z Fold.
The SIM card might go away, like in the US iPhone 17, and only be eSIM. Touch ID might come back on the power button. Who knows? But Face ID will still be there.
📱 The Screen?
I am hearing it might have a 7.8-inch screen inside and a 5.5-inch screen outside. If you want a big screen, it's here. Samsung might make the inside screen because they're good at it.
Apple wants a great screen with no crease – that's what they should do.
📸 Cameras? Keep It Easy!
I don't know much about the cameras, but Apple might put two cameras on the iPhone Fold, like the iPhone Air, not three, like normal. That keeps it simple, I guess.
There's talk about putting a camera under the inside screen. Cameras on foldables aren't good, which might be why Samsung isn't doing this now.
⚙️ What's Inside?
Just guessing, but the iPhone Fold should have Apple’s A-series chip, maybe the A20 or A20 Pro, with at least 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Sounds right.
A big battery would be nice, maybe 5,000 to 5,500 mAh. This would be the biggest iPhone battery ever because the screen will use a lot of power.
The software, iOS 27, should work well with foldables, like running two apps at once, moving stuff when you close it, and new controls. Gurman also thinks Apple will take this easy.
🔮 Will It Happen? Can Apple Do It?
Apple is late to foldables since Samsung, Google, and others have been making them for a while. Those companies know how to make them work and look good.
Apple's got fans, so the iPhone Fold could be a success. If they make a great screen, feel, and battery, they could win.
Foldable phones are getting more popular. Apple needs to make the folding, the screen, and the software good. Then, the iPhone Fold will make people care about foldables.
✨ My Thoughts
The iPhone Fold could be big for Apple if they make a good screen and fun features and might make other phone brands worry. 2026 is far, but Apple seems serious about it.
34.Apple Faces Its First True Tech Rival in Decades — According to Its Former CEO
Looks like Apple's got a new rival. John Sculley, the ex-CEO, thinks OpenAI is the real deal.
He said at a conference that OpenAI is the first real competition Apple has had in ages.
Apple's kinda behind in the AI game. While companies like OpenAI and Google are pushing out updates all the time, Apple's struggling. They even had to delay the Siri revamp, which shows they're having trouble keeping up.
Sculley, who was in charge of Apple back in the '80s and early '90s, says we're heading into an agentic era. Instead of using apps, we'll have smart assistants doing stuff for us automatically.
He thinks this changes stuff for businesses too. Instead of selling apps, companies will offer subscriptions where people pay only when they need something.
Apple's always been about great hardware and software that works together. But they haven't been as aggressive with AI, especially the kind that generates content and talks to you. Siri feels old compared to the new AI models out there.
The Siri delay has people wondering what Apple's doing with AI. They've bought some AI companies and hired some smart people, but they haven't made anything that can compete with OpenAI's ChatGPT.
Sculley thinks the next Apple CEO, after Tim Cook, will have to guide the company into this AI world.
Here's something interesting: Jony Ive, Apple's old design boss, is now working with OpenAI. His startup got bought out by them for billions, and he's helping them with their hardware plans.
Ive wants to fix some of the problems caused by smartphones and tablets. Sculley thinks Ive can bring his design skills to OpenAI and their AI models.
This team-up could change how we use AI, not just through apps, but with well-made devices.
Apple's known for being innovative, but OpenAI and AI, in general, are a new challenge. Apple needs to compete with it and adapt.
It's not just about better designs anymore; it's about being smarter.
We'll have to see if Apple can do it. They have the money, the people, and fans. But they need to change their thinking and embrace the world of AI.
For now, things are changing, and Apple might be the one getting disrupted this time.
35.AirPods 4 Get Major Discounts as Amazon Clears Out Inventory
Guess what? Prime Day's over, but Amazon's got the brand new AirPods 4 on sale. Seriously! They *just* came out, and they're already cheaper. The regular ones are just $89 (usually $129), and the noise-canceling ones are $118 (were $179). That's like almost half off! Apple barely ever does sales this good.
Simple to Use, Like Always
People dig AirPods because they sound great, and pairing is super simple. Just flip open the case near your iPhone, and *bam*, you're set. No messing with Bluetooth nonsense. The AirPods 4 are just as easy to use.
Both AirPods 4 versions use Apple’s H2 chip, kind of like the AirPods Pro. Everything's quick, and you get that 3D sound for music and videos. That thing where the sound moves when you turn your head as you're watching on your iPad? It's pretty great.
Good Battery and USB-C
The regular AirPods 4 get about 30 hours of power with the USB-C case. The AirPods last around five hours, and the case can charge them up four times. The USB-C is cool because you can use one cable for your iPhone 15, iPad, and AirPods. Less mess is always good.
Okay Noise Blocking
The noise-canceling AirPods 4 block out noise, which is nice, even without those ear tips that seal your ears. Apple tried to make them so they block noise but let you hear a bit, so they're useful in more places. Walking on a busy street? You'll still hear what's going on, but the AirPods will quiet down the traffic.
That moving sound thing is great if you move around a lot, work out, or just want to hear what's going on without losing good sound.
Good for Every Day
Both AirPods 4 can handle sweat and splashes, so they're good for workouts or if you get rained on. Tap the stem to pause, skip songs, and answer calls. Don't always need your phone, which is nice.
So, the AirPods 4 are good for music and everyday stuff. Calls, podcasts, working out—they're fine for most things.
Why Now?
Apple doesn't usually do sales, especially on new stuff. Right now the prices are still totally regular on Apple's site. Amazon deal might be worth a look if you missed the holiday sales.
They do things like spatial audio, USB-C, and water resistance. But these deals won't last forever, so check it out now if you're thinking about it.
36.Steam’s Latest Free Game Is Winning Fans With 100% Positive Reviews
Unknown Fluffy Object: The Free Game Everyone's Playing
You never know what games will catch your eye, right? It turns out some super cool stuff doesn't cost a thing! Right now, everyone's checking out Unknown Fluffy Object. It's a nice little indie game you can grab for free on Steam, and people seem to really like it.

🐶 What's the Deal?
You're Buddy, a sheepdog whose job is to save his sheep from these weird UFOs in Scotland. The sheep are all over the place, and you have to get them to safety. It's a simple idea, but it's very charming and funny.
The foggy Scottish feel just makes the whole thing even weirder. The UFOs aren't scary or anything; they're just annoying. The game is full of jokes and silliness. It doesn't take itself seriously, which is great.
🌟 Why People Like It
Unknown Fluffy Object has a perfect score on Steam. That's pretty crazy, especially seeing as it's a free indie game. People are saying things like:
Cute game, said cthuncthulhu.
I love dogs, aliens, and using sheep as footballs. This game is perfect, wrote TheDivider.
Super cute and relaxing, I loved playing with the sheep! said Isafia.
I loved how the game felt! I played golf with the sheep most of the time because it was so much fun, said GuriStreamz.
People are saying it's chill, funny, and surprisingly smart. You're not just saving sheep; you're golfing with them instead.
🎮 A Few Little Things, Lots of Fun
Most reviews are great, but some people wished the controls were better. It's not a big deal, and maybe that will be fixed sometime. For now, it seems like keyboard and mouse is the way to go.
Truly, there's not much to complain about. The game works great, feels done, and is what it is: a simple, fun game that's good for a quick break.
💸 Free, I'm Serious
What makes Unknown Fluffy Object even better is that it's totally free. No catches, no hidden costs, no subscriptions. Just download it from Steam and play. It's rare to find something free that's actually good, but here you go.
It also shows that great games can come from anywhere. The big-name games get all the attention, but indie developers are still making awesome games that people are having fun with.
🐑 Final Thoughts
If you're into dogs, aliens, sheep, or just want a relaxing game to chill with, try Unknown Fluffy Object. It's cute, funny, and totally free. With its perfect score and loads of fans, this indie game is a winner.
So, if you're looking for something new on Steam, give Buddy the sheepdog a shot. You might end up herding sheep, dodging UFOs, and laughing at one of the most fun games of the year.
37.iOS 26.0.2 Rolling Out Soon With Key Bug Fixes and Performance Tweaks
iOS 26.0.2 Update Coming Soon: Fixes on the Way
Apple's already working on a second update for iOS 26, which came out about a month ago. MacRumors saw Apple testing iOS 26.0.2, so it should be out in the next week or so.
This comes after iOS 26.0.1, which came out in late September. That one fixed some problems with the iPhone 17, like spotty Wi-Fi, camera mess ups, and bad cell service. Now, iOS 26.0.2 will likely fix general bugs and improve performance issues that have shown up since iOS 26 was released.
🛠 What's Coming in iOS 26.0.2?
Apple isn't saying much, but it sounds like iOS 26.0.2 will focus on the problems that people are talking about:
Slow Face ID: Some people are seeing delays when they unlock their phones or use apps.
Battery Draining Quickly: It's pretty normal after big updates, but some iPhones are losing battery faster than normal.
System Lags: Some slowdowns are happening, especially on older iPhones running iOS 26.
Since iOS 26 had a big Liquid Glass change, it makes sense that Apple would want to fix these issues quickly. Expect the update to be faster, more secure, and to make the new design better.
💡 Liquid Glass: A Quick Look
iOS 26 brought the Liquid Glass look, which is a big visual change with smoother animations, translucent parts, and shifting lights. While lots of people seem to like the fresh look, it's also caused some performance and matching problems.
Some users mention strange UI stuff, like things flickering or being out of place. iOS 26.0.2 should take care of these problems, making Liquid Glass as smooth as Apple wanted it to be.
📱 What About iOS 26.1?
Besides bug fixes, Apple's also working on iOS 26.1, a bigger update that's being tested. It should be out by the end of October, and it'll bring some new things:
Swipe to Skip in Apple Music: A small change that lets you skip songs easier.
Alarm Change: Instead of a big stop button, there's a slide to stop thing in the Clock app, so you don't hit it by mistake.
More stuff you can change: A few extra options might be available for widgets and lock screens.
iOS 26.1 will likely be the first big improvement to the Liquid Glass style, adding new stuff to iOS 26.
🔄 Updates and What’s Next
Apple's been quick with iOS 26 updates, which means they're serious about keeping iPhones running well. With the iPhone 17 series and iPhone Air out, Apple needs to make sure their software is good.
Releasing iOS 26.0.1 fast and having iOS 26.0.2 on the way shows that Apple is paying attention. For users, this means things should be more reliable and less annoying as the new OS gets better.
🧭 In Conclusion
iOS 26.0.2 might not bring cool new features, but it's important if you're having issues on the newest system. Whether it's battery life, Face ID, or UI problems, this update will try to fix them.
As Apple makes its Liquid Glass design better and gets ready for iOS 26.1, things should become more steady and polished. Keep an eye out for the update; it could be here any day now.
38.This $99 Portable Gaming Monitor Turns Your PS5, Xbox, or Switch Into a Travel Console
MNN 15.6-Inch Portable Monitor: A Real Help for Dorms, Trips, and Small Spaces
Ever tried to play games for a long time on your Nintendo Switch's little screen? Your eyes probably felt it. Or maybe you're stuck in a tiny dorm or apartment with a PS5 or Xbox, no TV, and your laptop's hogging the only monitor. Annoying, right? That's where the MNN 15.6-inch portable monitor comes to the rescue. And right now, it's super cheap at just $59 (usually $89).
This thing is thin and light, about the size and weight of a notebook. Just toss it in your bag with your laptop and books. Game, study, or stream stuff – it's a full HD screen that fits your life.
A Screen That Goes Everywhere
The best part about this MNN monitor is how flexible it is. Imagine whipping it out at a friend's to play some games, setting it up at your parents' for some fun, or using it between classes at the library. The case turns into a stand, and all you need is one USB-C cable to get going.
The 15.6-inch IPS screen looks good, with 1920x1080 resolution and a wide viewing angle. So, you and your friends can sit to the side and still see colors and details clearly.
Easy to Use
Setting it up is easy. If your laptop, MacBook, or phone has USB-C 3.1 or Thunderbolt 3 (most new ones do), you can use just one cable for power and video. No searching for plugs or dealing with messy cords.
If you don't have USB-C, there's an HDMI port. You'll need to plug it in for power, but it still works great. It even has speakers, so you don't need extra stuff for sound (unless you really care about sound quality).
HDR for Better Gaming
If you're a gamer, you'll like the HDR mode. It makes dark and light areas look better, so games look more alive. Shadows are darker, lights are brighter, and colors are more real.
In online games, HDR can even help you see enemies hiding in the background. Whether you're exploring cool worlds or playing online, this monitor makes things better.
Good Case
Cheap monitors usually have bad cases, but this one's good. It's made of strong material that keeps the screen safe when you're carrying it around. Plus, it folds into a stand that you can adjust to different angles.
Use it sideways for games and movies, or turn it to stand up straight for reading or social media. It's a nice detail that makes the monitor more useful.
Great for Students, Travelers, and People with Less Space
For only $59, the MNN portable monitor is a smart choice for students, people who travel, and anyone who doesn't have much room. It’s small enough to take everywhere, good enough for playing serious games, and easy to set up in seconds.
Want a bigger screen for your laptop, play games on the go, or just watch your shows? This monitor does it all. And with the discount, you're getting a good deal.
39.iPhone Warning: “Slow Charger” — Here’s What It Really Means and How to Fix It
## iOS 26 Charging: Seeing Slow Charger? Here's the Deal
Noticed your iPhone charging slowly after the iOS 26 update? Don't sweat it! It just means your phone isn't charging as fast as it could be.
⚡ **What's Up with Slow Charger?**
Basically, your iPhone isn’t getting enough power to charge quickly. This usually happens if you're using older USB-A chargers (the regular rectangular ones). They only put out around 5 watts. Newer iPhones, like the iPhone 17, need a lot more power to charge faster because they have bigger batteries. This can make charging take a long time – like 3 hours or more!
🔌 **How to Charge Your iPhone Faster**
To speed things up, here's what you need:
* A USB-C charger that can put out 30 watts or more.
* A USB-C cable that supports Power Delivery (PD).
Most new iPhones can handle around 20 to 30 watts for a fast charge. With the right setup, you can get to 50% in under 30 minutes.
Apple says their Dynamic Charger is built for speed and saves power. But chargers from brands like Anker, Belkin, and Spigen do the same job and are often cheaper.
🧠 **USB-C vs. USB-A: What's the Difference?**
USB-C is newer and better. It sends more power and transfers data faster. Plus, you can plug it in either way! USB-A is older, charges more slowly, and can't give modern iPhones enough power.
So, if you only have an older charger with a USB-A port, think about getting a USB-C charger with PD. Also, grab a quality USB-C cable; it’ll work with your iPhone 15 (or newer), iPad, and even your MacBook.
📡 **Wireless Charging: The Easy Explanation**
The Slow Charger thing can also happen with wireless charging, especially with older chargers under 10 watts. To charge faster wirelessly, watch out for these two things:
* MagSafe certified devices
* Qi2 brand
Newer iPhones can wirelessly charge pretty fast, up to 25 watts. By all means, the Belkin MagSafe charger charges wirelessly and even has a spot for your AirPods. A regular 15-watt wireless charging pad is a good choice if you don't feel like spending too much.
🛏 **Do You Need a New Charger?**
Not really. If you only charge your phone overnight, a slow charger will work. It won’t hurt anything, and your phone will be at 100% in the morning. It just depends on how quickly you need to charge.
But, if you need to charge up your phone quickly during the day – at work, in the kitchen, or out and about – a faster charger makes sense.
🧳 **When Is Fast Charging Helpful?**
* **Morning:** Charge while you shower and get ready.
* **Breaks:** Get some power during lunch.
* **Trips:** Charge up on road trips.
* **Gaming/Streaming:** Keep your phone powered while using a lot of power.
🧩 **Bottom Line**
The new charging messages in iOS 26 are there to allow you to get a better charge. A faster charger, wired or wireless, can save you time. If your current charger is working fine, don’t worry.
Just buy a charger based on its power output, if you like Apple products, and what you like. Also, good chargers don't have to be expensive.
