Someone spotted the box at Tops Markets that has Yoshi on it with Mario doing his 'Galaxy pose', so you can see it's a legit promotional crossover with the film. usually Nintendo holds these things back to drop at the perfect moment, so it's kind of odd that it came out this way.

But there's more! On the back of the box, There's this picture of Mario riding Yoshi in outer space. It feels just like the Super Mario Galaxy video games. And here’s a quick aside. Apple has changed their trade-in values for iPhones, iPads, Macs, and some Apple Watches. If you're planning to upgrade to a new device, this will help you save some money. Either trade it in online or visit a store.

Speaking of software, it looks like Apple is working on something called Liquid Glass for iOS 26. They're testing a gallery with Liquid Glass merging on its developer page. From what I see, the Liquid Glass design is see-through and sleek.

**The Road Ahead**

From the whispers of under-screen cameras to foldable phones, Apple seems to be aiming for something big. The 2027 iPhone could be quite the release.

They might be partnering with LG Innotek to provide the camera lens tech and a 24MP under-screen camera and close to zero bezels, and a curved screen. When all those things come to fruition, it would be the most advanced phone to date. Since this is Apple, they're certain to make sure it's perfect before they release it. I, for one, will be watching closely to see what they get up to.

13.Windows 11’s New Start Menu Is Rolling Out — Here’s How to Use It 

Windows is getting a serious makeover to the Start menu. Forget those small tweaks; this is basically a ground-up rebuild. I've heard some people compare it to the biggest change since 2021. They're planning on releasing it pretty widely around November of 2025.

If you're anxious to try it earlier, you'll need to be on Build 26200.7019 or 26100.7019, or even better, a newer one. Apparently, Microsoft wants to make finding, setting up, and tweaking stuff in Windows way easier. Once you install the update you can configure settings at Settings > Personalize > Start.

**Goodbye Clicking, Hello Scrolling:**

Seriously, the biggest improvement is that you can finally scroll through your apps! Before, you always had to click that All apps button, it would send you to a completely different place to see everything. Now, it's all in one spot. Just scroll down the list. If you're like me and have a crazy number of apps, this will seriously save you clicks. And remember, you can always search from the taskbar.

Microsoft is also mixing things up in the app section itself. Now, you can display your apps in different ways:

*   **Sorted View** (the default): Windows tries to be smart. It groups together stuff that seems related. So, photo apps with photo apps, games with games, and the apps you use most often at the top. If it finds at least three apps that are similar, it groups them automatically. It will also put the ones you installed recently on the top of the groups.

*   **Grid View**: Sorts them alphabetically. If you have a big monitor, you can see a lot of apps at once. If you know the name of app this is faster than search.

Windows will also memorize how you like your views. After the update the view will go back to the Sorted view when you boot up your machine.

**Start Menu Size: It Matters**

Windows is tweaking the Start menu look based on your display size. You can also manually change this in the settings.

*   **Big Screen**: 

    *   You can pin eight rows of apps.

    *   It suggests up to six things for you.

    *   The app section stretches across four columns.

*   **Smaller Screen**:

    *   You only get six rows for pinned apps.

    *   It suggests about four things.

    *   The all apps area is just three columns wide. If it's too hard to read on a smaller screen, there is a full screen option in the settings.

If you don't like to pin apps, the pinned area gets smaller. That extra room is taken up by other parts of the Start menu.

**Turning Off Suggestions**

Turning off those annoying suggestions is quick:

*   Go to **Settings > Personalization > Start**.

*   Flip these off:

    *   Show newly installed apps

    *   Show suggested docs

    *   Show websites you've visited

    *   Show tips and new apps

Turning that stuff off gets rid of the entire suggestions section. You get more space to pin the things you really want.

**Needs More Work**

Even though the Start menu update is mostly ready, there are a few things the company should improve:

*   **Too Big on Small Displays:** It takes up too much of the screen if you're using something small. It gets problematic.

    *   A possible fix: **Settings > System > Display**.

    *   Mess around with the scale settings and see if it makes a difference in the Start menu.

*   **Can't Create Your Own Categories:** You don't have any control over how things are organized. Windows can do its own thing automatically. It will only group apps if you have at least three of the same kind. If you only have two of a particular type, they will end up being stuck in the Other category.

**How to Try It Out**

The new Start menu update will begin to send out in November 2025. If you want to know if you have it:

*   You'll need Build 26200.7019 or 26100.7019, at least.

*   Go to **Settings > Windows Update** and hit Check for updates.

Most people will just need to be patient since Windows tends to release updates gradually.

**Final Thoughts:**

In general, the 2025 design of the Start menu seems like a step in the right direction. Being able to scroll in the app section is a relief. Auto resizing is a plus and the organizing choices are all right. Giving us an option to turn of junk is another bonus.

It's not perfect. An option to create our own categories would make it better. It's clear the goal is to things easy to deal with. Hopefully, Windows takes some feedback and gets ready to fix potential issues.

14.Apple Said to Be Developing Advanced Satellite Features for Future iPhones 

Apple's making their iPhones even better at using satellites. Right now, you can text for help, call 911, and get roadside assistance through a satellite if you're out of cell tower range. But according to Mark Gurman (he knows his Apple stuff), they're planning to do way more.

One super cool thing is that Apple might let other app makers use the iPhone's satellite connection in their apps. Imagine hiking apps, messaging apps, even social media working way out in the boonies where there's no cell service! That would be amazing for anyone who travels or lives in remote spots.

Also, Apple Maps might get an upgrade so you can use it offline with the satellite. Right now, you need a cell or WiFi to load maps. But with satellite support, you could find your way on trails, backroads, or if there's a natural disaster, even if the normal networks are down. It sounds like Apple wants its stuff to work no matter what.

And get this: Apple's trying to let you send pictures through satellite messages! Right now, it's just text. Picture quality might not be great since satellites don't have a ton of bandwidth, but even sending small photos would be a huge help if you're trying to show someone what’s going on in an emergency or on a trip.

They're also trying to make the satellite stuff easier to use. Right now, you kind of have to point your phone at the sky and follow the directions on the screen to get a satellite signal. Apple wants it to just work, like normal cell service. You pull out your phone, and it connects. Boom.

But it gets bigger. Apple might be looking at using satellites to boost 5G coverage. The Information said that carriers might be able to route 5G signals through satellites to reach places where it doesn't make sense to put up cell towers. It's early days, but it could totally change how cell service works, especially in rural areas.

To make all this happen, Globalstar (Apple's satellite partner) needs to upgrade its stuff. Apple is helping them pay for it, which shows they're serious. Remember, this has already made the SOS features on iPhones possible.

What about the price? Mark Gurman said that basic stuff (like emergency messaging) will probably stay free. But if you want fancier stuff, like using satellite in other apps or sending photos, you might have to pay your carrier extra. It could be like adding a satellite data plan.

Basically, Apple trying to get away from normal networks. With all the crazy weather stuff, travel, and spots that don't have great connectivity, people want stuff that works anywhere. By adding more satellite smarts, the iPhone becomes not just a phone, but a survival tool.

Let's be real, no PlayStation event is complete if people don't start yelling about Bloodborne. Everyone wants a remaster, a remake, or even just a sequel. No one from PlayStation has said anything about it, but people are hoping. Fingers and toes crossed! A PC/remake would break the internet so we are all hopeful.

Yuki Kaji Hosting: A Voice We Know

The host, Yuki Kaji, is a well-known Japanese voice actor. In Japan and the general anime enjoyers will for sure love this. Expect interviews highlighting the creative stories of developers.

16.Shigeru Miyamoto Talks About Stepping Back From Mario, Eyes 50th Anniversary 

It's Super Mario's 40th birthday! Can you believe it? Shigeru Miyamoto, the main guy at Nintendo who brought Mario to life, shared some thoughts about Mario's history and what's next.

Back in the day, Miyamoto was all about every single detail in Mario games. He was the brains behind every jump and platform. Now? He's more like a mentor. He lets the younger designers take the lead on new games, but he still makes sure they feel like classic Mario.

In a chat with Casa Brutus, a Japanese magazine, Miyamoto, who's now 72, talked about where Mario is headed and what he does now. I've got a solid team that cares about Mario's world as much as I do. Even with a smaller role, he clearly cares a ton about the plumber he created in 1985. Word on the street is that Yoshiaki Koizumi, a long-time friend who directed games like Super Mario Odyssey, is in command on the next 3D Mario adventure.

Lately, he's been the face of Nintendo's theme parks and movies, showing up at events for Super Nintendo World and The Super Mario Bros. Movie. There have been leaks of promotional art that suggest Rosalina and Bowser Jr. are fan favorites, and it suggests a larger story than the first movie. Laughing he said ‘I keep working on it until it gets fun, so that what am I feeling.

Miyamoto's legacy is more than just the games. It's the world he has made. His influence is in every jump, coin, and Koopa, from the old-school pipes of the first Super Mario Bros. to the huge world of Odyssey. Still, he is very humble. I won’t look! trusting in the new developers.

17.‘Wake of the Water’ Breathes New Life Into Enshrouded With Fresh Depth and Lore 

Enshrouded – that survival game that landed in January? People got hooked on its blocky look and crazy battles. Well, they just dropped a new update called Wake of the Water, and it's literally splashing things up.

The big thing is they put real water into the game. I'm talkin' rivers, waterfalls, and a whole explorable water-based area! You can swim, dive, get water for your crops, and even move things around with it. It's not just eye candy; it changes the gameplay and makes you think differently.

But watch out. Because where there's water, there's trouble. The Veilwater Basin is full of creatures that love the water as much as you do – maybe even more. The biggest pain in the neck? Oh, and for your base? Water is your friend now! You can build rain barrels, water dispensers, and even water-powered machines! This all makes water important when you're crafting and expanding your settlement. Maybe a cool underwater base, who knows.

Battles also got a major shake-up. There are over 60 new weapons, including the Big Swords class. Plus, seven new armor sets and over ten new fighting skills let you play your way. Elemental weapons now inflict elemental damage. Gem slots are now more important for you build. Oh, and the combat interface? Way easier to deal with.

To sum it all up, this isn't just some little thing. It actually improves on the solid things that Enshrouded had. It goes well with the original areas that are already there, while having great looking scenery. It's made to grab newcomers as well.

19.Windows 11 26H1 Prioritizes Hardware Compatibility Over New Features 

Microsoft just dropped a new test version of Windows 11, it's called build 28000 which is an Insider Preview Build. Inside Microsoft, they're calling it the 26H1 update. Before you get too excited, it's not the kind of update that brings a ton of new features or changes how Windows looks. This one's mostly about getting Windows ready for the next generation of computer processors like the ones from Qualcomm and NVIDIA.

Think of it this way: your computer needs the right parts to run properly. This Windows 11 version is being prepared to play nice with the upcoming processors from Qualcomm and NVIDIA. So, if you’re the type of person who likes to play around with new things with early Windows versions or an IT person at a company, then this release tells you that Microsoft is sticking to their current plan, which is making sure Windows runs smoothly with newer computer parts before adding anything flashy.

The Windows Blog made it clear, the 26H1 isn’t a big update in the way that version 25H2 was. Essentially, the few changes are to to support these brand new processors. You don't have to do anything complicated to get it. So basically, it's about ensuring Windows works with current hardware, i.e. the computer chips in Windows-on-Arm PCs and not about changing how it looks.

**Getting Ready for the Future of Windows**

The aim of 26H1 is to get Windows 11 ready for computers that use Arm processors. Microsoft has been working with Qualcomm and NVIDIA to make sure Windows 11 runs well on their stuff. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X2 Elite, NVIDIA’s N1 and N1x Systems on Chips (SoCs), along with MediaTek, are a big step forward in how good Arm chips are and how little battery they use. So, expect to see lighter tablets and laptops with much better battery life. And, Microsoft wants Windows to run great on those new devices.

This focus on chips shows where the computer business is headed. Arm chips are becoming a serious competitor on the market. Apple's success with their M-series chips has made everyone think about Arm in a different manner. Microsoft is determined to be a major player in this space. By making 26H1 about basic system improvements, they’re setting the stage for these new Arm-based Windows devices to be awesome to use.

**The Enablement Package...again?**

Similar to what they did for to get started with the 25H2 update, it’s likely that Microsoft intends on taking advantage of an enablement package (eKB) to enable the changes included in 26H1. You don't have to re-install Windows. Basically, it lets them do a quick, smaller update by just flipping a software switch. You will then be able to restart your computer one quick time to make apply the update.

Microsoft hasn't said whether 25H2 & 26H1 use the code. You will notice the same kind of code exists in both. This should make switching between versions easy, that's especially important for businesses. They will have systems that are predictable and minimal glitches, this is crucial.

**Remember 25H2? It Was About Security**

To understand what 26H1 is about, it helps to look back at the 25H2 update. It came and went without of attention, with many people hardly noticing. It had a lot of security improvements. For example, Microsoft removed some old parts – like PowerShell 2.0 and the Windows Management Instrumentation Command-line (WMIC) tool – as they had security problems.

The security people at Palo Alto Networks were the ones who figured it out. They said this Landfall spyware was using a secret weakness in Samsung's software all throughout 2024 and early 2025.
